    Furthermore, Muffin Break has an extensive product range with the flexibility to tailor the menu to each location and it’s customer base.

    Families can then go to multiple centres in their city or visit other Croc’s Playcentres around Australia on holidays, and have new fun experiences with their kids.

  • Croc’s Playcentre was established in 2008, by directors Brett Aldons and Lawrence Cusdin, after their own experiences identified the need for great playcentres that provide a safe and fun environment for kids to play.

    They kicked off with the purchase of a small centre in Knox, Victoria, which they redeveloped and learned the business inside out. The success of this centre led to the brand expanding when they opened

    the largest indoor playcentre in Australia, in June 2010, located in Pakenham in Victoria. Further new centres followed one after another, with the first franchise business opening in May 2013.

    April, 2014 saw the partnership bringing together two trusted brands with a shared customer base and aligned values. Muffin Break cafés compliment the great venues and immaculate service with providing

    carer’s and their kids a ‘me-moment’, signature beverage offer and delicious wholesome food with healthy options, made fresh daily.

    The Croc’s Playcentre franchise package includes a Croc’s Playcentre with a Muffin Break bakery café.

    Croc’s Playcentre provides services and products to individual customers from many walks of life and in every economic circumstance, for example: parents with a place to meet family and friends while their children are entertained, fathers looking to take the kids somewhere to give mum some “time out”, ‘Mothers Groups’ having a

    place to meet mid-week with friends, grandparents having a place to take the grandkids too, when ‘baby sitting’.

    They have a range of parties to cater for all budgets, from a simple ‘café’ party to a full blown high end interactive party. The centre can be hired out after hours for ‘Night Functions’ where large groups, from families to companies, can host their own private party after hours.

    Croc’s playcentres are all unique in size and design, and roughly 1000m2 covering all play areas, centre facilities and an inline Muffin Break café. The innovative design and play equipment keeps it fresh and exciting for the adults and kids.

    The Muffin Break concept originated in Canada in the 1970’s and was then established in Australia in 1989 by the Foodco Group Pty Ltd, and celebrated its 25th year in 2014.

    A unique bakery café business and a market leader in its category.

    Currently more than 300 locations globally across: Australia, New Zealand, and United Kingdom, with strong growth planned for the next 12 months.

    The award winning coffee range prepared by the accredited baristas will keep the parents wanting to come back for more with their kids.

    And for the hotter days there are the refreshing: Traditional milkshakes, Muffin Break Frappe’s Muffin Break Froot Blasts™.

    vegetables, nuts and seeds!

    Our Food MenuAside from the baked and prepared food made fresh daily, Muffin Break offers a large and innovative range of other items to suit every occasion. Wholesome, healthy options for the whole family.

    Our Delicious Muffins: early each day our bakers are preparing and baking our world famous muffins. With constant innovation there are now over 200 different varieties of muffins to choose from.

    Breakfast range: includes banana bread, raisin toast, croissants, and toasted sandwiches.

    Sweet treats: for the customer with a sweet tooth. On the menu Muffin Break serves it’s famous carrot cake, loaves, scones and much more. All of these are prepared and baked fresh by our bakers.

    Lunch Items: are another popular range on the menu. Customers can expect to find wraps, sandwiches, pies and pasties, tartlets, savoury slices, salads, and soups.

    This diverse range of products caters for the dietary needs of our customers by offering gluten-free, diary-free, low-fat, and lower carb products.

  • SITE SELECTION AND LEASE NEGOTIATION

    Croc’s development team will provide assistance with site selection, lease negotiations and renewals.

    MARKETING

    Croc’s Playcentre has a well-established suite of marketing materials and tools for our new franchise owners to utilise. You will work with a specialist marketing consultant to develop a local area marketing plan for your franchise in addition to receiving a Local Marketing Manual to help grow your business.

    National marketing programs are also run to support your business, year round. These include: local Facebook page, Instagram account, website, and store specific membership database.

    OPERATIONS

    Each franchisee has: • a store opening team to assist with the start up • a dedicated operations consultant for their store to

    assist via telephone and field meetings to discuss sales, marketing, training and compliance.

    STORE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

    A turn key operation, the store design and construction team coordinate the playcentre and café design, liaising with franchisees and lessor architects to achieve the final design. Sourcing and appointing suppliers and contractors to carry out works and project management is all taken care of, whilst still considering suitability for local conditions.

    The IT department support franchisee’s point of sale network and identify new technology platforms to assist in business development.

The catering offering is also managed by the product team, to support parties and private functions to add on an extra offering to customers.

    This training will be delivered through: Online training portal Training Centre located in Sydney Business and operations training

    Training opportunities are also featured at the Annual Conference (franchise owner meeting). This 2 day event is an opportunity for all franchise owners to get together, network and socialise in addition to providing the forum for further training.

    ongoing after you start trading. We are committed to running premier children’s indoor playcentres in the country, and we understand this means the best possible franchise owners, training, systems, staff and franchisor support.

    First you will attend initial training CORE 1, accredited training course for 3 weeks at the Centre of Retail Excellence (CORE), Sydney; followed by in-centre training. Once your store opens you will receive 20 days of support infield; Approximately 6 months later, you will complete the accredited training CORE 2 program, which runs for 3 days.

    Training never really stops. The Croc’s Playcentre franchise is geared to ongoing support and training.

    The Croc’s Playcentre franchise is your business, but you are not alone in the business as Head Office represents a very valuable resource for your growth and success. Because the initial weeks of a franchise are critical to set it on the right path for the future, Croc’s Playcentre has an on-going commitment to all incoming franchise owners but particularly so in your early weeks.
