PerfadTM 3500 Series Friction ModifiersOur range of friction modifiers, the PerfadTM 3500 series, help overcome the challenges in formulating next generation engine oils for four stroke, manual transmission, wet clutch motorcycles. Perfad 3500 series products reduce friction within the engine but minimise changes to clutch friction, maintaining the JASO (Japanese Automotive Standards Organization) grade and so clutch feel and rider enjoyment.

Steel-steel Friction ReductionPerfad 3570, 3571, 3575 and 3576 offer a significant reduction in the coefficient of friction, when formulated into a premium, 15W50 motorcycle engine oil at 0.5 – 1% addition rate.

Maintenance of Clutch Friction The JASO T903 standard, run on the SAE#2 test rig, demonstrates the effect of a motorcycle engine oil on clutch friction. In independent testing, Croda’s Perfad™ 3500 series of motorcycle engine oil friction modifiers maintained manufacturer’s JASO grades at 0.5 – 1% addition rate.
