  • The Pembrokeshire Twilight Sanctuary will be a place to

    go for people experiencing mental distress.

    6pm-2am Friday to Sunday

    when most other services are closed.Support provided

  • Where are we?

    We are based at 2 Perrots Road, Haverfordwest, SA61 2HD

  • Providing sanctuary and support to people at risk of

    deteriorating mental health, through a range of

    interventions in a

    Welcoming and homely environment

    An alternative venue for early access support, avoiding

    dependence on core mental health services

    • Closely linked to primary & secondary mental health

    services

    • Signposting and referrals will be made to other third

    sector organisations and agencies to meet the

    individuals needs

  • How can we access support?

    Anyone can refer themselves or be

    referred

    • The phone is answered as soon as possible, with an

    answer machine, staff aim to respond within 30

    minutes to messages left

  • COVID-19 Measures

    It is recognised that this is a mental health drop-in facility

    however due to COVID-19 we will be seeing people by

    appointment

    At this time keeping everyone safe is our priority

    • Clients will be asked to answer relevant questions about

    physical health

    • Have their temperature taken on arrival

    • Hand sanitisers and face masks will be available

  • Transport

    • It is recognised that public transport in Pembrokeshire will

    not operate late into the evening

    • Taxis can be arranged to collect or

    return the client home or to a more

    appropriate location such as A&E

    • The decision to transport will be made by Mind

    Pembrokeshire staff

    • The client may be accompanied when necessary

  • Inclusion

    • The service will not discriminate or exclude anyone in line

    with their protected characteristics as defined in the

    Equality Act (2010)

    • The service will accept those under the

    influence of alcohol and/or drugs

    provided they have the capacity to

    benefit from the service.

    • A Risk Assessment will be undertaken to make sure that

    people get the right service for their needs, whilst using

    the Twilight Sanctuary and services we may refer to.

  • Follow up and feedback…

    • If appropriate, we will ring the client back to provide them

    with suitable information that we have gathered based on

    our conversation.

    • Clients will have the opportunity to feedback on their

    experience, either digitally or in paper format, as a

    mechanism for continual improvement.

    • We may do a follow up call with a client at a later date to

    see if they have accessed any signposted services.

  • Follow up and feedback…

    • Following all calls with clients, staff will email feedback to

    referrers, if appropriate and or relevant.

    • Should any clients need to be

    escalated back to clinical mental health

    services, staff will liaise directly with

    the respective Crisis Team.

  • The Cwtch Croeso will be a safe space for people

    experiencing mental distress to stay overnight.

    10pm-10am Friday to Sunday

    • An alternative to hospital admission for people experiencing mental distress.

    • For clients who require some sort of intervention

    but not an admission to secondary care mental

    health services.

  • Referrals

    • Referrals will be made by a referral

    form

    • They will come from the CRHTT

    Team

  • The service will provide

    • Out of hours support

    • a listening ear

    • proven coping strategies

    • signposting to other support services to enable the

    client to resolve underlying causes of the crisis

    so that the client can return home,

    with the tools they need to cope,

    as soon as possible.

  • Accommodation is

    welcoming and homely

    • A good sized single room with a sofa bed

    With access to

    • A toilet and walk in shower

    • A kitchenette with provision for an evening meal,

    breakfast and drinks

    • Lounge and dining area

  • • Staff will be available until 10am

    • Clients will be encouraged to get up at 8:30am to get

    ready, have breakfast and talk if they need to

    • Staff can then strip the bed and sanitise the room

    ready for the next shift

    • Clients needing to attend CRHTT will be accompanied

    by Cwtch Croeso staff
