• You are expected to attend each day of the workshop from Monday, July 15, through Friday, August 9. • Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (We may end early on some days)• Please sign the attendance sheet at the beginning of each day (for reporting to the National Science Foundation)• If you must be absent for a day due to illness, please contact your teacher and/or contact:

• Note taking in logbook provided• Take notes during lectures and lab activities• Standard practice in scientific research• Some nighttime assignments• Write down questions for informal question and answer periods• Useful to review for post-workshop test• Award for best post-workshop test at Fall 2002 meeting at UNL• Useful for presentations to classes at your school
• Schedule of one-day academic-year meeting during the autumn (on a Saturday, participants from all participating schools)
• Graduate credit for participating teachers
