Canada-PEI Business Risk Management SuiteThe PEI Agricultural
Insurance Corporation is responsible for the administration of the
followingincome support programs under the Business Risk Management
Suite:
• AgriStability provides support when a producer experiences
larger farm income losses Theprogram covers declines of more than
!"# in a producer$s average income from previous years
• Agri%nvest is a savings account for producers& which
provides coverage for small incomedeclines and allows for
investments that help mitigate risks or improve market income
• Agri%nsurance is an existing program which includes insurance
against production losses forspecified perils 'weather&
pests& disease( and is being expanded to include more
commodities
• AgriRecovery is a disaster relief framework which provides a
coordinated process for federal&provincial and territorial
governments to respond rapidly when disasters strike& filling
gaps notcovered by existing programs
In no case may the discount or surcharge calculated under
subsection (3) exceed(a) 10% of the base premium amount, in the
case of an insured with a loss ratiobased on one year of insurance
history; (b) 0% of the base premium amount, in
the case of an insured with a loss ratio based on two years of
insurance history; (c)30% of the base premium amount, in the case
of an insured with a loss ratio basedon three years of insurance
history; (d) !0% of the base premium amount, in thecase of an
insured with a loss ratio based on four years of insurance history;
or (e)"0% of the base premium amount, in the case of an insured
with a loss ratio basedon #$e or more years of insurance
history
