Our 10-bed Inlet Centre Hospice is continuing to run

at capacity and remains open, providing

compassionate care and support to people with life-

limiting illnesses and their families. Though a few

things look different - like modified visiting hours and

adjusted staffing levels for additional cleaning - we are

proud that our dedicated level of care remains the

same. Crossroads Hospice continues to closely partner

with Fraser Health in caring for patients and families.

As we continue to navigate the challenges presented

by COVID-19, our hospice and Fraser Health staff are

working very hard to think of ways we can offer

support and care in a more creative, agile and

compassionate way. We are so encouraged by the way

our community has supported us through this time and

also have come together to support one another.

Compassionate,Quality Care

We are grateful and thrilled to announce that we will

be offering a Virtual Visitation Program for our

patients and their loved ones at our Inlet Centre

Hospice. The program is scheduled to launch early

July. With the generous support received through the

Emergency Community Support Fund by the

Government of Canada, Community Foundations of

Canada and our local TriCities Foundations, we are

able to acquire tablet devices and digital connection

platforms to help our patients stay connected with

their families and loved ones during these difficult

times. It is incredibly valuable to be able to stay

connected in creative and agile ways in a time where

there are limitations set on in-person visitations. We

hope to reduce current stress and anxiety that may be

omnipresent in our community and maximize the

quality time we share with our patients at hospice.

Crossroads Hospice Society provides free grief support after the death of a loved one. Our services are

available to anyone living in the Tri-Cities, Anmore and Belcarra. In these times of COVID-19, we are still

providing support over the phone and Zoom. We have services for youth and young adults ages 13 – 25, as

well as adult grief support services.

At Crossroads, we know that grief doesn’t take time off. Through these extraordinary times, we are

committed to continuing to provide compassionate grief support. With support through the Emergency

Community Support Fund, we have been able to move our Adult and Youth & Young Adult program to a

virtual platform!

We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your

participation and unwavering support for this year’s Virtual

Hike for Hospice. When COVID-19 hit us in March, and we

knew we wouldn’t move forward with our regular hike, we

made the decision to attempt a Virtual Hike for Hospice

without knowing how it would turn out. When we turned to

you for your continued support and understanding, you

never hesitated! As you know, 100% of the funds raised at

Hike for Hospice support our programs and services. With

your support, we can continue to provide compassionate,

quality care for people with life-limiting and grief support

for our community.

We are continuously inspired by the generosity of our

Virtual Hike for Hospice Presenting Sponsor, Phoenix

Truck & Crane, Bill Dick and Lora Covinha, who have stood

by us as we moved to the virtual hike model. We are

especially grateful for their additional support of $5000 for

Crossroads Hospice patients and families. We profoundly

appreciate their commitment and continuous support in

helping us provide compassionate, quality care for people

with life-limiting illness and grief support for our

community. Thank you for your on-going support and

everything you do for our community!

If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, you can still give!

Our donation site will remain open for your support

throughout the summer for additional donations and

pledges. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your

continued support.
