TO REMOVE UNIT FROM CARTONUNPACK CARTON

Remove all accessible loose parts and parts cartonsfrom carton (See page 6)

, Cut along dotted lines on the carton, from top tobottom, alt four comers of carton and lay panels fiat.

Check for any additional loose parts or cations andremove

ATTACH STEERING WHEEL (See Fig, 1)Slide the sleeting bush{ng over the steering shaft.

Raise steering shaft forward until screw holes in dashtine up with steering bushtng, install two (2) sheetmetal screws and tighten securely,

Posii]on steering boot over steertng shaft

Ptace tabs af steering boot over slots in dash and pushdown to secure.

Slide steering wheel adapter onto upper steering shaft.

Position front wheels of the tractor so lhey are pointingstraight forward.

, Position steering wheel so cross bars are horizontal(left to right) and slide onto adapter,

Assemble large flatwasher and 1/2-20 hex [ocknut andtighten securely

Snap insert into center of steering wheel

Remove protective plastic from tractor hoed, and grill

Remove banding holding discharge guard up againsttractor

INSERT

Dispose of excess battery acid. Neutralize acid fordisposal by adding it to four inches of water in a fivegallon plastic container. Stir with a wooden or plasticpaddle while adding baking soda until the addition ofmore soda causes no more foaming.

Be sure you have a clean air filter and the throttlecontrol cable is adjusted propedy (see above)

With engine off turn high speed mixture screw in(clockwise) c_oslng it finger tight and then turn out(counterclockwise) f -112 turns,

Turn idle mixture screw in (clockwise) closing fingertight and then turn out (counterclockwise) 1 turn.

FINAL SETTING -

Start engine and allow to warm for five minutes. Makefinal adjustments with engine running and shift/motioncontrol lever in "NEUTRAL" position_

With throttle control tever in "FAST" position, turn highspeed mixture screw In (clockwise) unti! engine beginsto die then turn out (counterclockwise) untll engine runsrough. Turn screw to a point midway between thosetwo positions,

With throttle control lever in "SLOW" position, turn idlemixture screw in (clockwise) unfit engine begins to dieand then turn out (counterclockwise) until engine runsrough. Turn screw to a point midway between thosetwo positions

With throttte control lever in "SLOW" position, engineshouldidle at 2100 RPM If engtne idles too slow, movethrottle control lever above Idle end turn Idle speedscrewfn (clockwise) oneturn. Setthrotttecontrolleverat "SLOW", Repeat until satisfactory idle is altained_

ACCELERATION TEST -

Move throttle control lever from "SLOW" to "FAST"position. If engine hesitates or dies, turn high speedmixture screw out (counIarclockwtse) 1/8 turn. Repeatlest and continue to adjust, if necessary, unlit engineaccelerates smoothly,

High speed stop is factory adjusted. Do not adjust -damage may result
