As part of my journey becoming a vegan in 2018, I did some thorough research on all the brands found at Sephora who still test on animals.

Almost 90% of huge corporations still test on animals such as Loreal, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, Chanel even uses real fur! And unfortunately, one of my favorite brands like Tarte Cosmetics has been bought by Kose (a Japanese company who tests on animals) so they are no longer considered cruelty-free!!

You can find the complete Sephora list here and check if your favorite beauty brand is cruelty-free!

Humane Society International estimates more than 200,000 animals are tortured and dead by these cosmetic tests.

Also note that cruelty free does not mean a brand or a product is vegan, many companies still use animal products!

Keep in mind that any company which sells in China automatically tests onanimals since it is required by law.
