CSQ SHORT COURSES PROGRAM HOW DOES IT WORK? CSQ funding is paid directly to TAFE Queensland. Where CSQ funding doesn’t cover the full cost of your fees, you will be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees. Some courses are part of full qualifications. If you are interested in a course, contact us to find out more. WHAT’S ON OFFER? Eligible participants can access a range of accredited and non-accredited short courses. A maximum of eight general construction and five civil construction short courses can be funded through this initiative. ACCREDITED SHORT COURSES An accredited short course or skill set will earn you official credits for the units you complete. These unit credits may be applied to a related qualification at a later date if you choose to study a full certificate or diploma. When you successfully complete your accredited unit/s you will earn a Statement of Attainment. NON-ACCREDITED SHORT COURSES Non-accredited short courses are a great way to refresh your knowledge and increase your skills. Upon completion of a non-accredited short course a Certificate of Attendance can be provided. ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for funding, participants must be eligible existing workers or unemployed eligible workers (i.e. unemployed for four years or less) in the civil construction and building and construction industries who are one of the following: > An Australian or New Zealand citizen > A permanent resident of Australia > A holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa Participants must also permanently reside or be permanently employed in Queensland. Additional eligibility requirements may apply. Please speak with your TAFE Queensland representative. Apprentices and trainees in the civil construction and building and construction industries are not eligible for this funding.
