Skills to Engage Customers with Psychotic Disorder in the Workplace
Speakers:
Thanks to the overwhelming response to our last seminar, we are pleased to invite once again
psychiatrist and social workers of the Jockey Club Early Psychosis Project Team (
) to share with us practical tips in handling customers with early psychotic disorder (
). The Project is led by the Department of Psychiatry, University of Hong Kong, and jointly
organized with Hospital Authority, Caritas Social Work Services and the Mental Health
Association of Hong Kong. The Team has much experience in offering gatekeeper training
regarding the handling of psychosis cases for various professionals.

The seminar aims to increase participants understanding on early psychosis. The speakers will
share with participants the skills to recognize people with psychotic symptoms and respond to them
positively. Through case study analysis, participants will explore practical skills to engage
customers with psychotic symptoms.

Do you perform law enforcement and compliance duties? Do you need to help formulate or review policies of your Department? Is legislation one of the options in
the process?
Do you wish to enhance your knowledge on how the Hong Kong legal system and processes operate? This course aims to provide participants with an overview of the Hong Kong legal system, examine the sources
of law, the legislative process and approaches to statutory interpretation through illustration of practical cases
and examples. The programme helps solidify participants knowledge of legal implications in the workplace. This course is one of the three programmes in the Legal Series rolled out in September 2010 to provide
participants with general knowledge of the legal environment, key legal principles and their applications in the
workplace. The other two programmes are Contract Law and Tort Law in the Workplace and The Basic
