Itdoesnotcoverallpossiblewaystoopenfiles.Itisintendedtodrawattentiontoproblemsthatcanbeavoidedwhenworkingwithdatafilesinthisformat.

1. Downloadfile
FirstdownloadthefilefromtheGLEIF.orgwebsite.
Right-clickonthefileandselect“SaveAs…”tosavethefilelocally(pleasedonotopenityet).
Thedatafilehasthefilenameextension“.csv”.
Donotdoubleclickthedatafileimmediately.
2. OpenExcel
Oncethedatafilehasbeendownloaded,donotdirectlyopenit.
