I’d like to welcome you to our Spotlight, "PCI vs CABG Surgery in Multivessel Disease," in which we’ll discuss the late-breaking and important SYNTAX trial (Synergy between PCI with TAXUS and Cardiac Surgery) that was presented at the 2008 European Society of Cardiology Meeting in Munich. I’m joined today by the two senior investigators and study co-chairs of SYNTAX, Professor Patrick Serruys of the University of Erasmus in The Netherlands, and Friedrich Mohr, Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Leipzig Heart Center in Germany.
