The Ctrl. Alt. Delete team talked to us about how excited they were to learn new skills and have new experiences w h e n t h e y w e r e j o i n i n g Croesyce i l iog . The team couldnʼt wait to show their talents in drama lessons and they were so excited to be doing proper experiments in science! “I remember being so excited about wearing a tie and having a bigger school bag!”

However, Year Seven isnʼt all fun and games, one thing that they really didnʼt look forward to, was getting up earlier and the mountains of homework they would have to face.

We asked the Ctrl. Alt. Delete team what they were most scared about when they first joined Croesyceiliog. The rumours of having your head flushed down the toilets was one that cropped up more than once! Even when I look back I can remember having dreams of my head being plunged into a smelly toilet plague me constant ly. Lucki ly, th is never happened.

A sad truth though, is that most Year 7ʼs were worried about bullying. Bullying is a topic taken very seriously

by Croesyceiliog School. Itʼs good to see how the school are making other pupils aware of the affects of bullying. Around the school are poster from Childline and posters made by pupils to help others who are being bullied find help. Another great idea that the school have introduced is the Form Supporters. Each from is designated a pupil in a higher year who support a form if they ever need any help.

One of the best ways to overcome bullying is to stick with your friendship group. Making new friends was something that was mentioned as one of the best things about starting a new school. These friends should help and support you, if ever and whenever you need them!

We ran at Croesyceiliog, Llantarnam and we raced at Blackwood twice. Croesyceiliog was the hardest definitely. We had to run three fields and up the hill. Everybody said it was really hard!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Written by: Roald Dahl

Rating: 6/10

Bad Point: The plot become boring after a while
