A single carbon spiral is at the core of the blank. This type of structure is commonly regarded as the most effective way of

maintaining cross section stability during bending.

Our carbon helix core will minimize cross sectional deformation during loading, improving power and response.

In a flexing situation, the blank is undergoing pressures that can cause it to change from a round shape to a slightly oval

shape. Even a small 2% reduction in section height caused by these pressures will reduce the stiffness of the rod by around

10%. The higher the loading, the softer the blank will become, reducing its ability to fight fish.

CTS has sourced the highest quality fabrics from USA, Japan and Korea. Up to five different types of carbon are used in each blank. Each type is placed at various parts of the

blank to optimize strength and weight.

CTS's ultra high modulus fiber boasts the highest tensile and compressive strength of any fiber in its class.

Internal High Strength ferrule

A high strength ferrule is placed at each join, to provide superior crush and split resistance.

There is no need for the rod builder to place a ferrule wrap at this point for reinforcement.

Target Zero Fibre Alignment

The Affinity SK DH rods are ideal tools for

managing the sustained anchor of Skagit shooting

heads with extreme sink tips in tow.

They also manage all short to long belly floating

classic Spey tapers with ease, and will do

especially well with the challenging line

management of full sink classic Spey tapers.

When compared to the Affinity Plus DH rods:

The Affinity SK DH rods will have slightly less flex

(stiffer) in the top 2/3 and have more flex (softer)

in the bottom 1/3.

This done to more easily manage anchor release

of Skagit shooting heads with heavily grained tips

and heavy flies in tow. And to more easily manage

dangle release of full sink classic Spey lines with

ease.

With Skagit shooting heads:The Affinity SK DH

tapers comes to the fore to manage the sustained

anchor of extreme sink tips and heavily weighted

flies with an absolute minimal amount of

expended energy on the part of the caster.

Line management of these lines (as with all

shooting heads) is best done with a very economic

short stroke, and underhand dominant.

With classic Spey tapers: The Affinity SK DH rods

are very authoritive in the delivery of mid to long

belly Classic Spey tapers, and will do especially

well with full sink Spey tapers and heavy flies.

Mid to long belly Spey tapers will inherently ask

for a wider stroke. This best done with an even

high hand / low hand power push, and a slight

underhand power at the end of the stroke

Ordering can be done via email or fax. A confirmation invoice will be emailed to verify details. Once we have received your deposit we will start on your order. The balance

of the order is due prior to shipping.

Note: we cannot ship to a post office box, and must have your full delivery address and phone number.

Delivery time is typically 10 to 30 working days and depends of availability and production workload.

Payment : Payment can be made via Visa, MasterCard, wire transfer. Our bank information will be on the confirmation invoice.

Please note, If paying via credit card, a currency variation may occur which may result in the actual amount being charged to your card to be a 1% to 3% higher or lower. The

cards issuing bank may also charge a foreign exchange service fee. This is typically 0.5% to 2%.

Shipping : All goods are shipped via Qantas or UPS with delivery door to door of approximately 3 to 7 days . On shipping your order we will notify you of the consignment

number so that you can track your order via the internet if you so wish. Should your blanks be damaged or your order short, you must notify us with your claim within 10 days

of receiving your order.

Pricing : Prices herein are correct at time of printing. Due to CTS's constant design development, prices will change. CTS reserves the right to adjust prices to reflect

improvements without notice. Distributors, retailers or rod builders selling CTS blanks are free to set their own retail pricing. Pricing does not include local taxes or duties.

Warranty : The CTS rod warranty covers any defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the blank. It does not cover damage related to misuse, fire, theft, loss,

intentional breakage, modification or customization.

Damages that have occurred other than as a result of defect in workmanship and / or materials may be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion. There may be a fee

associated with this service, and a full quote will be provided for you prior to any work being carried out. All CTS designs are individual and we keep a full history of our

customers blank designs. In most cases of multi piece blanks, CTS is able to send a replacement section for the broken part based on a few measurements supplied by the

customer.

CTS Custom Program.

CTS has invested heavily in the creation of extensive design and production tools to enable us to create truly custom blanks.

We pride ourselves on being able to provide you with exactly the blank you are after. We will listen to your requirements, make suggestions, then design and produce your

blank. A custom design fee of US$105 per order is charged on all custom orders.
