Os ingleses so bastante disciplinados e esquisitos com as boas maneiras. So conhecidos pelo seu amorincondicional ao ch das 5 horas da tarde, o chamado Five O'clock Tea.

The English are very disciplined and fussy about manners. They are known for their unconditional love to the 5o'clock tea in the afternoon, called the Five O'clock Tea.

Antes de ser inglesa, essa j era uma tradio portuguesa, com certeza. "O hbito de tomar ch foi levado paraa Inglaterra em 1662 pela filha de dom Joo 4o, Catarina de Bragana, ao se casar com o rei Charles 2o. Alm disso, o ch das 5 pode ser consideradoapenas uma figura simblica: a bebida, para os ingleses, no precisa ser servida s 4 ou s 5 da tarde:preferncia nacional, consumida a qualquer hora, como o cafezinho para brasileiros, espanhis e italianos.

consumida aos domingos, geralmente acompanhada de Horseradish sauce,

mostarda inglesa, Yorkshire Pudding e molho.

Outras variantes: Roast Pork (porco assado), Roast Lamb (cordeiro) e Roast

Chicken (frango). Opes menos comuns so Roast Duck (pato), Roast Goose

(ganso), Roast Gammon (tipo de presunto) e Roast Turkey (peru).
