What is culture and How does culture affect people?
• Culture is the way a person is raised. • Culture affects people’s perspective of life and
also their beliefs.

• Religion: the religion practiced by the majority of people in Afghanistan is Islam.
• Clothes : there is a traditional wear for both men and women in Afghanistan.
How it effects people’s daily life • Muslims have to pray five
times a day. At dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and evening.
• Friday is a holy day for Muslims. Shops and offices would be closed on Fridays.
• Men have to wear Salwar kameez. And the women have to wear a Burqa on top of their clothes.
Culture
• Family : family also plays a important role in the culture of Afghanistan.
How it effects people’s daily life
• Women are responsible for all the house work.
• And the men are the “bred winners” meaning that the men earn the money.
• But in cities women also work outside.
