New Brunswick offers a diverse a range of specialized impellers including:1. Spin Filter (shown with marine blade impeller)2. Cell-Lift Impeller3. Patented Packed-Bed Basket Impeller with draft tube

for use with Fibra-Cel disks (complete impeller as-sembly shown top right)

4. Pitched Blade Impeller5. Marine Blade Impeller > Rushton-type Impeller (not shown)

Fibra-Cel disks are a solid support material used with New Brunswick’s packed-bed bioreactors for growth of mammalian, animal and insect cells, when secreted proteins are desired. Key advantages: > Cell densities averaging 10 times higher than traditional microcarriers, due to protection from shear forces

> Higher mass transfer of nutrients and oxygen > Low pressure drop across the bed for efficient scale-up > Higher surface-to-volume ratios

Unique Impellers and Fibra-Cel® Disk Options Enhance Growth and Productivity

New Brunswick’s advanced Reactor Process Control (RPC) is provided as standard on all systems except the Pro line (which uses an Allen Bradley PLC), simplifying transition between systems during scale-up. Control screens are easy to understand and use. > Pre-defined drop-down selections, radio buttons and tabs help you to quickly set up your process

> Quick links at the bottom of each screen make it one-touch simple to navigate between Set-Up, Calibration, Cascade, Pumps and Summary displays

New Brunswick’s optional BioCommand® PC-based software automates data logging, provides remote monitoring and control capabilities, and is OPC-compliant, allowing data from other OPC-compatible devices to be integrated into your control strategies. BioCommand® is offered in choice of three packages.

> Track and Trend provides monitoring and historical record keeping, with control of setpoints, alarms and trend dis-plays

> Batch Control helps you optimize your process. It adds equipment lock-out features for security, and recipe fea-tures such as programming and a customizable synoptic display

> For FDA-validated processes choose Batch Control Plus. It adds three levels of security (operator, supervisor and administrator), event logs, audit trails and a database structure to help comply with 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines
