    In the faraway land of Zumbapur,

    all the people had hunchbacks, for sure.“Hoolooloo,” they greeted each other.

     They talked about their back aches and the weather.

     The sticks that these people would wield

    to shoo away the birds snacking in their eld,

    was their support and their shield,

    whether they were healthy, sick or healed

    !ost of them leaned on a long and strong stick

    when they had some "uicy corn to pick,

    or e#en to climb the mountain or the attic.

     They said, “$e hope to be cured of the hunchback,by magic.”

    %ne day a man came walking straight,

    with a drum and a goat, he walked to the gate.

    “Hoolooloo,” said the cle#er dog, “How do you walk

    so, my mate&”

    “I'#e come to cure the people,” he said. “(ust youwait”

    “)oom )oom )oom )adong”

    He beat his drums and sang a song,

    sharing his plan as he walked far and long.

     The deer, the elephants, and all the animals wentalong.

    “(oin us, wild bulls and wild hen.

    *et us see what will happen,

    to all our folks + men and women,”

    said the dog, that was as black as the ra#en.

    “(oin the fun, come with me crocodiles,”

    said the elephants, with great big smiles.

    Why did all the animals go to Zumbapur in

    heaps and piles?

    Why do you think they formed a line of overtwo miles?

    “eady -teady haaarge” said the man.

    /ll the animals ran all o#er the entire span

    chasing e#ery child, man and woman,

    who "umped up high, screamed aloud, and !"

    -uddenly, the animals stopped and went away.

    / little boy said, “I'm so tired, I can only sway.”

    “*ook,” a little girl said. “$e can now stand straight.

    It's our lucky day.”

    “Thanks to the !agic man,” they all re"oiced. HipHip Hooray#

    “Thank you for the gifts 0 the corn and the bread.

    It's now time for me to go on ahead,to another place where my ser#ices are needed.”
