Oxygen Management Committee

Rehabilitations of Bru The Central Government and the Tripura Government

have undertaken RS. 1,200 crore ambitious project to rehabilitate 36,140 Bru migrants who fled from Mizoram to Tripura 24 years ago following ethnic Strife.

Tripura Government has selected 13 locations in different districts to rehabilitate Bru migrants.

Earlier the Central Government has already announced a RS 600 Crore package for the resettlement of these tribal migrants in Tripura.

Oxygen Park The Tripura Government forest department build a

new park to increase people’s interest in natural greenery which named as ‘Oxygen Park’.

The government has designed the gate of the park as lungs.

The park is situated in the dense area of shawl

Bagan about 4 km from the main city of Agartala.

Organic outlets Tripura Agriculture Department has decided to open organic

outlets in every districts to double the farmers’ income. This attempt will facilitate the farmers who have responded

to the call of the mission of organic. A total 200 hectare of cropland managed by four FPC (Former

Producer Companies) in Tripura has been awarded the status of C3 Organic Certification as per the standards of India organic.

The first outlet will be opened at Agartala horticulture directorate.

Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant

The Union Finance Ministry on 6th May released the 2nd

monthly installment of post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of RS 9,871 crore for the year 2021 – 22 to 17 states – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamilnadu, Tripura Uttarakhandand West Bengal.

RS 19, 742 crore has been released in the first two months of the current financial year as PDRD grant to the states.

Continue A total RS. 1, 18, 452 crore has been recommended as PDRD

Grant by the Fifteenth Finance Commission for the financial year 2021 – 22. The grant will be released in 12 monthly installment.

Under Article 275 of the Constitution, the central Government provides the grant to the 17 states.

International Drawing and Painting Competition

A class vii student of Holy Cross School Baibhav Datta has been awarded in International level for setting a record of attaining maximum number of certificates from various drawing and Painting competitions.

He has been honoured by the Asia Book of records recognized by World Record university and International Protocol Record on 6th April, 2021 for his achievements in state, national and international levels.

He received the highest number of certificates mementos and medals in the record of different Asian Countries like ‘India Book of Records’, ‘Vietnam Book of Records’, ‘Asia Book of Records’, Indonesian Professional Speakers’ Association’, ‘Bangladesh Book of Records’, .

He has been awarded with a champions of painting certificate from Champions Book of World Records’. Moreover he has been awarded with Golden Peacock Award from Munushya Bal Vikas Lakseva Academy. He has also earned the ‘Child Prodigy Award’.

The famous Chemical Scientist from Tripura Arjit Das is recognized as author from Wiki Educator based in Otago Ploytechnic, Dunedin, New Zealand for his contribution to the scientific discipline of Chemistry and his achievements in the field of innovation.

He is now authorized to create online resources for learners in the field of Chemical Education.

Earlier, His methodologics and formulae had been indexed in the digital library, “Education Resources Information Centre (EPIC), United States Department of Education in the form of 09 articles and Library of University of California, Davis, US in the form of 08 articles.

Second Position of Vaccination

Among the 28 states in India, Tripura achieved the second position in providing the first dose of 18 to 44 year old COVID 19 Vaccination.

Tripura bagged the second position with 23.02% of vaccination while Sikkim grabbed the first position with 24.39% of vaccination.

Oxygen generation Plants In order to control the second wave of Corona virus in North

eastern states, The Government of Japan and the United Nation’s organ the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) have partnered to install oxygen generation plants in north eastern states like Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.

The hospitals with a capacity of approx 1,300 beds have been identified in the region for the oxygen generation in the region.

Excess Oxygen will be distributed among other health institutions.

Demand of Tripura Customary Law Bill 2019 into an act

Four organizations of Tripura Samaj namely Tripura Samaj Narans, Tripura Ohubulai Buthu, Tripura SurangnaiButhu and Tripura Language Development Committee in a joint deputation to the Forest Minister Mewar kumarJamatia demanded immediate step to convert the Tripura Customary Law Bill 2019 into an act.

The bill was passed by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council on 16th October 2019.

‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ The Central Government has sanctioned an amount of RS 614 crore for

Tripura for implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission under Ministry of JalShakti.

The first installment of RS 142 crore is registered with the state government’s account in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on 13 May.

The total amount sanctioned for this year is almost four times higher than the fund sanctioned last year.

The State Government will extend water supply connection to three lakhrural households.

The state Government is determined to deliver supply water connection to all the people in the state by the end of the year 2022.

COVID War Room With special initiative of Viswashree B, District

Magistrate of Sepahijala, for the first time a COVID War Room has been set up with sixty teacher. The teachers have been trained for this task.

The War Room will function round the clock to deliver information regarding COVID Care Centers, ambulance, hospitals beds and medical shops in the district.

‘Corona Crisis Management Group’

The Tripura Government has formed a ‘Corona Crisis Management Group’ to control COVID-19 situation in the state.

The Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb became the head of the State level committee.

The panel is set to deal with the situation from state level to the village level.

The committee will deal with the state level to district level. Separate committees will be formed for ADC area, Agartala

Municipal Corporation, each ward of AMC, urban local bodies, Panchayat Level to provide safety equipment and creating awareness about Coronavirus among people.

Export jackfruits The consignment of 350 jackfruits were exported from

Tripura to United Kingdom through Guwahati and Delhi.

Earlier in 2019, Tripura Successfully exported Queen Pineapple to Dubai and other parts of middle east.

The state has three varieties of pineapples _ Kew, Queen and Bombay. Among them, Queen Pineapples are considered the most exotic and are in great demand.

Biodiversity Management committee got awards

On the day of International Biological Diversity Day, Twichin Gram Bari Biodiversity Management Committee of Tripura has been awarded by Government of India under ‘Award Category V’ replicable machanism of ABS.

Twichin Gram Bari Biodiverstiy Management committee, Tripura has successfully integrated accessed and beneficiaries provisions of biological diversity in 2002 with the working of Joint Forest Management Committee.

It helped the generation of additional incomes of over RS 5000 per month for over 250 families by providing natural resources.

“One Stop Centres’ Among 701 ‘One Stop Centres in the country’ eight centres are

located in Tripura. This ‘One Stop Centres is centrally sponsored Scheme under

Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD). Such kind initiative had been taken to remove the violence against

women. It was established to provide integrated support and assistance under one roof to women affected by violence both in Private and public spaces.

The scheme is funded through Nirbhaya Fund and the Central Government provides 100% financial assistance to the state Government and Union Territories administration.

Tea from Bamboo leaves After producing rice and cookies from Bamboo, now tea has been made

from bamboo leaves in the state. Samir Jamatia from Agartala has made tea with bamboo leaves.

The tea made from bamboo leaves has been used in China since ancient times.

There are various medicinal properties in that tea

1) This kind of bamboo tea has many beneficial properties in protecting hair, skin and teeth and helping to strength bones and teeth.

2) The colour of the tea is red and the taste is the same as ordinary tea.

Such kind of tea are made of T. O liveri bamboo and Kanack Kaichbamboo leaves. However this kind of tea can be made by all kind of bamoo’s leaves.

through ‘e- Sanjivani OPD Portal’ for those COVID infected Patients who are in home isolation.

The Medical officers under the guidance of Dr. NilanjanBhattacharjee , State Program officer will direct tele- consultation to the COVID – 19 patients under home isolation. They are also being allowed to prescribe basic medicines as per the guideline for COVID 19 home isolation. For additional support they may refer the patients to the nearest health facility.

The state council Minister has decided to buy 20,000 metric ton paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 18.68 per kg to double the farmers’ income.

Legal Advisors for eight districts

The state Government on 12th May has decided to appoint altogether nine legal advisors for eight districts including crime branch in the capital and one more the police headquarter.

The advisors will help, guide and assist the police in matter of filing charge-sheets in court proceedings and legal matters specially in case of heinous crimes like murder, rape, economic offences and corruption cases.

The applicants must have five years experience in conducting criminal cases in judical magistrate court as well as in sessions Court.

The retired law officers of any state or central government department will also be considered eligible for this posts.

The conduct of appointment will be for one year but may be renewed On the basis of performance.

Tripura Forest Department has initiated a special ex- situ breeding programme for clouded leopards which is IUCN listed endangered species of wild cats found in the forest of Tripura.

Apart from that elephant, Bison, vulture and Hornbill camp will be set up at Teliamura.

Largest Oxygen plant The largest oxygen plant in North East region is going to

be set up at IGM Hospital in Agartala which will produce 1500 litres of oxygen in liquid form per minute.

The Present plant in Govinda Ballav Pant Hospital produces 900 litres of oxygen in liquid form.

It is decided to set up more than 18 oxygen plants in eight districts by National Health Mission.
