The Current Concepts in Sports Medicine annual conference features national, regional and local leaders in sports medicine and orthopedics who share the latest in research and treatment through expert lectures with question-and-answer panel discussions and relevant workshops on clinically important topics. Audience

This conference is appropriate for physicians, physician assistants, certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, chiropractors, occupational therapists and other sports medicine providers.

Learning Objectives

This conference will present case-based, cutting-edge medical information on sports medicine and sports-related injuries that sports medicine professionals can directly apply to the care of their athletic population. At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to:

• Discuss orthopedic biomechanical assessment methods, including technological advances;

• Demonstrate clinical decision making, including those relating to surgical indications, operative procedures and postoperative rehabilitation procedures;

• Identify musculoskeletal pathology and treatments specific to an athletic population.

AccreditationCertified Athletic Trainers

Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care is recognized by Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. This program has been approved for a maximum of 11.75 hours of Category A continuing education units.
