Trigonometry and Animation
Those awesome animated movies wouldn’t be
possible without math such as trig, algebra(who
knew it would be useful!:o) and geometry.
Trigonometry is use to rotate and move
characters (oooohhh pretttyy:D) algebra creates the special
effects that make images shine and sparkle and calculus helps
light up a sceneGeometry Animation is the most
complex and is what people usually refer to when using the
term “animation”
Trigonometry and 3D!O To make 3D movies all this fancy stuff is
used but what I basically got out of the article was that…
O Each eye sees slightly different image as is Binocular Disparity or stereo vision
O If you think about it a little bit, you can actually formulate an equation to calculate the depth (trigonometry) there’s a lot of other junk about color and what your brain perceives but this is a math class so if you want to learn more google it (it’s also a noun :D)
Trigonometry and Music♫
That awesome music we all love to jam and rock to has a lot to do with math! *gasp!* to those of us who have been to
a concert in a hall or room the engineers used trig to build the room to optimize the sound. And
they’re pretty too!
Trigonometry and Music♫
Producers use graphs made by computers that show the singers voice
and the instruments frequency and such to
make the music balanced. The program
uses trigonometric equations to quickly
calculate how the graph should appear based on
individual points.
I Learned…
…that what we learn might actually be useful! Perhaps… :D
Also by reading that article about Pixar I learned that if you really like a specific subject in school you should try to find a career that uses it! Like the dude from Pixar was saying he loved math(ewww…) so he found a way to use that to make something enjoyable.
