Curriculum and Assessment Policy Branch Recently Revised Curriculum
The Ontario Curriculum:• Social Studies, Grades 1 to 6; History and Geography, Grades 7 and 8, 2013 (revised) • Social Sciences and Humanities, Grades 9 to 12, 2013 (revised) • Canadian and World Studies. Grades 9 and 10, 2013 (revised)• French as a Second Language, Core, Extended, Immersion French, Grades 1 to 8, 2013 (revised)
Release of revised curricula will continue as reviews are completed.
Support for Curriculum Implementation• Ministry-led online and regional sessions to support implementation of recently revised curricula.

Upcoming Supports• First Nations, Métis, Inuit Resources: Resources highlight opportunities for students to learn
about First Nations, Métis and Inuit histories, cultures, contributions, issues and perspectives throughout the Ontario curriculum with a focus on the recently revised elementary Social Studies, History and Geography curriculum.
• Mental Health videos: Video clips show educators from a wide range of classrooms across the province supporting student learning about mental health and well-being from Kindergarten to Grade 12, using current curriculum and a supportive learning environment.
• Creating Pathways to Success: An Education and Career/Life Planning Program for Ontario Schools, 2013. A supporting webinar for educators is also in development.

More Resources, Tools, and SupportsNewThe new e-Career Studies Course available for an online environment, blended learning, and face-to-face classroom. Using a game-based approach, students take a journey along their chosen pathway(s) to learn more about themselves by considering their strengths, skills, interests, and learning skills and work habits. They will also consider where these attributes may lead them in their future.
Adolescent Literacy: Engaging Research and Teaching (ALERTs) are information articles that provide practical ideas for grades 7–12 literacy instruction and support the Adolescent Literacy Guide.
