The ISA members, Eric May, John Crumbley, Richard Crishock, Tammie

Bartkowiak, Lee Honeycutt and Rodney White presented new technologies and

other information at the Curriculum Coordinators meeting.

Rich Crishock instructed curriculum coordinators and coaches in the use of devices

that will be used to help curriculum collect attendance information when teachers

are trained during in-service in August. This new technology has great potential.

Lee Honeycutt and Rodney White talked about digital textbook changes for the

upcoming school year.

team to train on the use of

tablets for Paperless

Attendance.

This new technology will be

used in the August staff

development with all CFISD

teachers.

This new technology will save

time during the sign-in

process, allowing teachers to

more quickly attend their

training classes. It will also

provide time-savings after the

class, as each attendee is

entered into system to award

credit.

Cognos Report Studio Training

On August 2nd and 3rd, Donna Vanhooser, Son Nguyen, Richard Hoffman, and Dava Clark attended a

PowerSchool Advanced Report Studio training course led by Capitalize Analytics. We learned advanced

techniques to enhance our current reports and build better future reports. We are excited to bring back all we

learned and implement our new knowledge base into more efficient reporting!

High School Counselor Training

Ann Sempe hosted a counselor training for all High School Counselors in the

district. During this training counselors were trained in “HOW to” in

eSchoolPLUS focusing on our new grading periods.

It was Ann’s first time presenting to all the counselors – it was nice to meet all of

them and to make a personal connection.

Middle School Counselor Training

Belinda Smith trained all the Middle School Counselors in our growing district.

Now that our new marking periods have changed from 6 weeks to 9 weeks lots of

new and exciting benefits will take place. Counselors were excited about the

changes in new trailing procedures. New reports were introduced to help them

with course requests and scheduling of new students.

We had a great training class on how to use the tablets for “Paperless

Attendance”. Curriculum and Staff Development they are so talented. They

adapted to the new technology flawlessly! Rich Crishock began with a

demonstration of the proper setup of the stand to insure that the tablet is stable.

He walked everyone through the complete process, start to finish. Everyone was

so excited about the new technology and the amount of time it will save them.

Rich’s additional successes this week include:

• Research SchoolNet/ iXplore withdrawal dates and permission override flags

• Research / develop Android code for the campus login app

• Modify / Test Hayes Tip Web changes to write teacher info to both teacher

and staff extract files

This week I got the opportunity to assist users with our

wireless upgrades. I am amazed at the efficiency of the

implementation of the new wireless network. I had no

issues with any of my users and everything was well

received!

Our Operation Onboard team got the amazing

opportunity to be published in an article on Laserfiche’s

website. I am so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful

team! It is incredible to see what we have accomplished

for our district and how well it is being received.
