Why Mandarin immersion?

Tina “Mrs. B”-Principal1. My race is Chinese, ethnicity is Chinese-American, and my

nationality is American.

2. I helped launch the Mandarin Dual Language program in 2011 in the same year that I had my first child.

3. This is my 21th year in education, 6th year as Jing Mei’s Principal.

4. What drives me to do my best: It takes a village to raise a child and I want to make sure our students have access to caring adults in and outside of their homes.

1. I am Chinese-American. I have two daughters and we live in a

multi-lingual family household.

2. This marks my 14th year serving in education, and my 9th year at

JM.

3. I believe in dual language education and its power to help our

children to become more productive global citizens starting as

young as in pre k and elementary school age.
