Duties & Responsibilities:

Piping Inspection:

• Review piping standard procedure and specification refer from SATIP,SAES,WPS, and PQR base on Saudi Aramco Project.

• Review welding standards procedure and specification as per Saudi Aramco Engineering standard and other international standard( SAES W12,W11).

• Familiar with ASME section 1X and API 1104 codes references.

• Prepared P&ID and isometric drawing priority for inspection

• Execute daily surveillance inspection all areas to find any deficiency, violation and raised NCR or surveillance report.

• Conduct visual inspection @ fabrication shop and site erection to ensure correct piping installation branches, outlet and rolling off set as per issue for construction drawing.

to ensure good quality welding profile before sending to RT.

• Check fit-up, gap, bevel,angle preparation and overlap using HI-LO gauge.

• Carry out visual inspection on all flange face valve separation if no damage and verify all permanent gasket bolts and nuts prior for bolt torque as per drawing.

• Conduct inspection of all pipe support using correct material and follow support detail drawing dimensioning

• Carry out line checking and record punch list items prior to pressure testing with main contractor and client.

• Prepare and review test packages for closing all punch list item category “A” prior to hydro test pneumatic test and visual test.

• Witness all lines of internal cleaning and air blowing.

• witness all testing requirements such as hydro test , pneumatic test, leak test, and visual test.

• Offer tie-in test package inspection to the main contractor and client prior to signing approval.

• Prepare all test and inspection to be conducted.

• Clearing all punch list item category ”B” prior to final acceptance of the line and assist pre-commissioning or commissioning and plant startup .

• Prepare all document prior for final turn-over of the project as per Saudi Aramco requirement.

• Familiarized with the construction procedures, method of statement, engineering standard and references applicable to the project requirements.

• Recording and approved reports of inspection and test witness and compile scope tiles to identify inspection status.

• Report on defective work and non-conformities , assist in identifying root causes of problems and the resolution and clearance of reported problems

• Verification as required on welder qualification and the correct application of requirements.

Welding Inspection:

• Check material specification as per drawing before start of any welding activities

• Check approved WPS prior to start any welding activities.

• Check welders qualification card or JCC as per WPS before start of any welding activities.

• Check welding consumables like welding rods, filler metals, grinding materials etc.

• Check welding areas if any welding covered is required to minimize the wind blows.

• Check fit up angle, gap clearance prior to starts the welding activities.

• Check welding activities as per procedure before, during and after welding.

• Check final weld profile of any surface defects if accepted or rejected.

• Check if any NDT is required as per drawing.

• Coordinate with NDT personnel.

Welding Supervisor:

• Interface between workers and company.

• Ensure approve drawing to be followed prior to start any fabrication activities.

• Familiarize the drawing before initiating any activities.

• To ensure all welding and piping components are acceptable for any NDT inspection.

• Execute hands on any welding techniques and processess like smaw, gtaw. saw, fcaw.

• Schedule the production for client satisfaction.

• Understand and execute any new welding activities to ensure and in accordance with the applicable procedure and standards.

• Coordinate with welding foreman for any welding activities to be conducted.

• Promote safety awareness plan during any activities to performed in the fabrication shop and in the site.

• Performed reporting to the superintendent regarding any activities that executed during the day and following days.

• Initiate guidance for cutting equipment, welding equipment, grinding equipment, gauges, and mechanical tools.
