Over 30 years experience as practitioner, two decades of which television scripting and translating a huge number of feature films, documentaries and tv series - including The Cars, When in Rome, Perfect Storm, Bamby, Beauty and the Beast, Alladin the Prince of Thieves, Pride and Prejudice, Hugo, Grey's Anatomy, Flashforward, 007 James Bond to name a few.

3. Nine years as academic teaching in various institutions in Aleppo, Leeds and Bologna; and over half of that period in Effat University.

4. An authority in English/Arabic audiovisual translation since 1995 when I published my first article in the field; know for my theory about 'Subtitling Triangle' published in 2009 in a book chapter.

5. First class subtitler on various subtitling software, a member of SUBTLE in UK.

6. Expert on voice-over training for both documentaries and corporate films.

7. Done community service interpreting (for tribunals and in hospitals) and live political/business debate interpreting (for television only).

8. Taught translation and interpreting courses such as Legal and Political Translation (UG), Business and Media Translation (UG), Issues in Translation (UG), Medical Translation (UG), Principle of Interpreting and Ethics (PG), and Subtitling & Dubbing (PG).
