Project "Kačerski honey". Project is implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade with EU funding, under the call "Strengthening civil society dialogue between Serbia and the EU", managed by the EU Delegation in Serbia and implemented by GOPA Consultants. Partners on the project were - Confederation of the food and beverage industry of the EU, the Association Growers of Carnica Serbia, the Association of Beekeepers "The Future," and in cooperation with the Municipality of Lazarevac.The project was created with the aim to establish a limited region of Serbian honey production technology, in order to allow the registration of products with a geographical protection. The project prepared the study on the area of the former KAČERSKA NAHIJA shoodshod be registered protected geographical area by the Institute for the Protection of intellectually property. This will anabledenabled for all beekeepers with protected area, to get a chance to brand as "Kačerski honey". The general objectives are: 1) The improvement and enhancement of agricultural production in the field of flowers, nursery plants and herbs, as well as related sectors. 2) The development of innovation through encouraging the establishment of new SMEs/ RPG (registered farms) and increase competitiveness, reduce unemployment, especially youth and their staying / return to the village; making assumptions that SMEs/RPG involved in the Cluster innovate accepting modern approach to dealing with entrepreneurship; enhancing cooperatives - including new members. Special (specific) objective is to encourage the development of agriculture and contribute to the affirmation of life in the countryside, especially in young people from the municipality of Obrenovac. The Regional Centre for Development of Small & Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship–Belgrade, is one of seven regional agencies established under a European Union initiative to support private sector Development in Serbia. The EU initiative is financed by European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) project entitled “Non-financial assistance to SMEs in Serbia”, which is implemented in coordination with the Serbian Ministry of Economy and Privatisation.
