Courses Taught at Texas A&M University
RPTS 316 Recreation Management of Wildlands. This course examines the systems and
techniques for managing wildlands, understanding visitor use, the agencies/organizations that are
involved, and the factors that can influence it.
RPTS 336 Recreation Research and Analysis. This course familiarizes the student with
techniques, concepts, and issues involved in conducting and understanding research in
recreation, parks, and tourism settings, e.g., research articles, scientific method, etc.
RENR 400 Study Abroad in Natural Resources (South Pacific). This course exposes students
to issues of natural resource management, sustainability, ecology, and culture in one of three
countries: Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.
