Malcolm Roods is a Principal with RHDHV
specializing in Environmental Impact Assessments
(EIA) for electricity supply (generation, transmission
and distribution), road infrastructure, residential
developments as well as water management
projects. This builds on a broad government
background, which has made him particularly
flexible. His past experience include 6 years public
service which included policy development,
environmental law reform and EIA reviews. His
experience also includes more than 5 years of
environmental consulting in the field of Impact
Assessment and Authorisation Applications, with a
focus on legislative requirements and business
management.
Since joining the company he has been involved
with major EIA projects such as the Transnet New
Multi Product Pipeline (NMPP), various Rand Water
Pipeline projects, numerous Eskom Research,
Generation, Transmission and Distribution projects,

Novashni (Sharleen) Moodley is an Environmental
Assessment Practitioner (EAP). She holds a BSc in
Environmental Science; a BSc (Honours) in
Environmental Management (cum laude) and an

Bronwen has operated in a range of environmental
sectors – since 2013 as Senior Environmental
Consultant and Environmental representative for the
region, Cape Town office. Previously, Bronwen was
Chief Environmental Scientist at AECOM South
Africa, and for 12 years previously ran her own
environmental consultancy, her main contract as a
City of Johannesburg Environmental Manager.
Her area of expertise is Environmental Impact
Assessment (EIA) and related permitting,
functioning as project manager and provision of
environmental specialist knowledge. She deals with
a range of environmental projects, including mixed
land-use, industrial, petrochemical projects, waste-
specific projects (e.g. Klinkerstene Regional landfill)

estuarine/fresh water specialists. Tandi’s technical
competence is demonstrated through the various
accolades received from both the public and private
sectors. Her Honours degree in Geography as well
as over 20 years of experience sets her apart from
her peers. She has been a National Blue Flag Jury
member for nine years. Tandi undertakes coastal
specific consultancy work and jointly prepared a
user-friendly guide to the ICM Act in public/private
partnership with the National Department of
Environmental Affairs, won the IAIA 2010 Premier
