Job Description: I am Senior Intensivist and Coordinator in the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at this hospital. I am directly involved into developing protocols and policies , infrastructure development and procuring equipments and manpower for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) besides managing critically ill patients admitted in ICU. We have 26 beds in Medical and Surgical ICU and 15 beds in HDU in Department of Critical Care Medicine. The ICU are manned by round the clock board certified Consultants besides residents enrolled in Indo-Australian course in Critical care. We have case mix of Medical, neurological, trauma and surgical emergencies. I am also actively involved into teaching of Critical Care Fellows with twice weekly seminars and bedside teaching.

Job Title: Consultant and Coordinator Department of Critical Care Medicine.Hospital: Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, India. March 2010- 31 Oct 2011.Job Description: To diagnose and manage critically ill patients admitted in ICU. There are 28 beds in Department of Critical care- Medical ICU (8 beds), Neurology and Stroke ICU (8 beds), Hemato-oncology ICU (12 beds). The ICUs are semi-closed units with around 40-50% patients admitted under Consultant Intensivist. There are registrars (4 each) and Consultants on 24x7 rotational duties for 3 ICU. Rotational duties include 2 Nights (12 hrs each)/week. We have case mix of Acute Respiratory failure, Medical, Neurological and Oncological Case emergencies. I am also actively involved into teaching of Critical Care Fellows with twice weekly seminars and bedside teaching. Job title: Registrar, Department of ICU, Hospital: Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. March 2008 – March 2010.

Job Description: During 2 years, I worked in Medical ICU (14 bed), Gastroenterology ICU, Neurosurgical ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU. My job was to take part in management of patients in different ICUs along with support and advice of Primary Consultants and Consultant Intensivist. I did various ICU procedures like Central venous lines, Arterial lines, Endotracheal Intubation and initiation of mechanical ventilation, Percutaneous Tracheostomy, Intercostal Drains, lumbar punctures. I was also involved into regular (once/weekly) seminars and bedside teaching in ICU. Job Title: Senior Resident, Department of Critical Care Medicine.
