    About Me:

I recently studied Graphic Design at Middlesex University. I thoroughly enjoyed branding and the associated challenges, and I also discovered and indulged in my love for book design. I enjoy all aspects; the grids, typography and type formatting, layout, composition, and print. Utilising these skills I developed a wide range of projects, varied in focus and subject matter. An avid supporter of eco friendliness, many of my projects are focused on helping to preserve the environment in some way, often with inventive solutions that are uncompromising to our comfortable lifestyles. Since graduatation, Ive been working on several projects; these include developing fundraising material for an environmental campaigner to gain first hand experience in Ghana, branding and presentational material for a group of students studying geology at Plymouth University, and continuing to develop my knowledge and skills of web design.

    Achievements:

Featured in a local newspaper (The Argus) for the work on my final project in Art & Design at Sussex Downs College.

Helped create lanterns with the community art charity, Same Sky, for The Burning of the Clocks; a festival held annually in the Brighton & Hove area.

Collaborated with Brighton based design firm See Corridor to create a silkscreen poster to commemorate the past decades for the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. Its currently on display at the American Express Community Stadium in Falmer, Brighton.

Worked with Cuban graphic designer Claudio Sotolongo to create a silkscreen poster for a collaborative exhibition between students of Middlesex University and the International School of Havana.

Created a silkscreen poster for the Creative Compendium, an exhibition organised and hosted in London by Middlesex University.

    Work/ Experience:

    Whats Happening Magazine (Brighton)(30/03/15 - 22/04/15)

Im currently engaged with work experience in magazine design at WHM, Brighton. Specifically, Im helping to design page layouts and providing my own photographs for appropriate and relevant articles.

    Connekt Colour (Berkhamsted)(2013)

Less work, more experience. As part of a group of select students at Middlesex University, we toured the facility and were treated to an indepth and enlightening experience of the processes involved in the mass production of graphic design, primarily in the form of books.

    Cash Bases (Newhaven)(2009)

As a requirement at secondary school, I did a week of work experience on an assembly line, manufacturing cash registers.

    Title:

    One Drop Water Conservation

    Overview:

In an effort to help save fresh water on a national scale, I proposed a service that would help to mitigate unnecessary water contamination by providing a new method of waste disposal to the public. The system would include a variety of containers and a new hazard classification symbol for water pollution.

My first page introduces the disposal containers and the symbol to help consumers determine whether a product is potentially hazardous if it enters the sewers.

    Title:

    One Drop Water Conservation

    Overview:

The second page continues where the first left off, it depicts several container types and how they should be used. It elaborates further on the issue, and uses a series of icons to explain the problem in its simplest of terms, and thus why the service is necessary.

    Title:

    One Drop Water Conservation

    Overview:

The third page details the user journey and how people would interact with the service. It uses familiar systems like waste disposal trucks and sorting and recycling facilities. Whilst the brief set no budget, my intent was to keep it within the realms of possibility.

    Title:

    One Drop Water Conservation

    Overview:

The fourth and final page focuses entirely on advertising the service. The posters introduce the new hazard classification and the matching waste disposal containers. Information leaflets and booklets were also designed, as ultimately the problem is entirely avoidable with the proper knowledge.

    Overview:

This was a project intended to help people overcome creative blocks. The book contains an A-Z of ideas and examples to help people reconnect with their creative side.
