I would consider myself to be an ambitious, innovative and hard working person looking to gain experience in the marketing and media, utilizing IT solutions along the way. ~~~~~~~~~~ EMPLOYMENT HISTORY ~~~~~~~~~~ Retail Assistant Open All Hours Ltd | Keswick May 2010 > Present I managed inventory coming in a going out of the shop. Ordered new stock when it was needed and oversaw deliveries. - I worked as a cashier for four of the six years of working there, meaning I was able to exercise my interpersonal skills and customer service. - Although I wasn’t the most senior member of staff, working there for six years meant that many new team members joined after me, meaning I had to train new staff to use the tills, the computer system and how to manage orders. - This job has allowed me to develop my team working, problem solving and interpersonal skills. I was called in to solve IT-related issues on many different occasions. Web/ Graphic Designer Grayscape Web Design | Leeds October 2015 > June 2016 - I set up this business to run alongside my university studies, offering to create and publish websites, cover SEO and logo design for small to medium sized businesses. - Certain clients also required management of their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ presences. - Within the first few months of starting this venture, I was working closely with some businesses in the Headingley area. This included PRI Lettings, a new letting agent that required a website and general help with their online presence. The website can be found at prilettings.co.uk . Sam, the director, was very happy with my work. - This post showed me the importance of business-to-client interaction as I had to establish the client’s needs and requirements before starting the project. This meant a lot of face-to-face interaction was required, as well as email and phone conversations. - Another client was Templeway Properties in Headingley. I was asked to do some website maintenance. This included taking new property photos and publishing them on to their site.
