    Screw-in bonnet, Screw end

    Bronze bonnet gate valves are designed for

    steam, water, gas, oil and other generalservices. Valves are similar except for screwor solder pipe ends. Rising stems arespecified where stem position is used forvisually determining whether the valve isopen or closed. Non-rising stems are usedwhere headroom is limited. Valves aredesigned for maximum interchangeability ofparts to reduce spare parts inventories.

    BodiesFull flow design. Connecting pipeends will not distort valve seats. Same bodyis used for both rising and non-rising stemvalves insuring interchangeability of trims.Disc guide channels are beveled at top ofbody for easy assembly.

    Bonnets Heavy screw- in bonnet collar with

    ample thread engagement insures a tightbody collar joint. Wide flats provide a firmwrench hold for disassembling valve.

    StemsResistant to wear, corrosion andembrittlement. Long, accurately machined

    threads provide full thread contact. Heavy

    disc-stem connection withstands wearingaction when opening valve and prevents stemfailure under strain. Rising stems have abackseat surface above the stem threadswhere it is less exposed to scale anddamage from line debris.

    Discs for rising stemsTwo types: Doublewedge discs (Uni-ball construction). Consist oftwo separate disc faces with an integral balland socket connection between them; facesreadily adjust to body seat taper, insuringtight closure. Sturdy disc collar strengthensdisc-stem connection. Easy to assemble andwith valve wide open the discs are drawn upinto the bonnet and cannot drop off stem.Wing guides mate with channels in the body

    to hold the halves together and guide themduring opening and closing.

    Solid wedge discs Accurately machined withdisc-wing guides that conduct the disc to afirm, tight seat. Ideal for food processing lines

    and handling gummy substances where

    entrapment of line materials within the disc isundesirable.

    Discs for non-rising stemsSingle wedgediscs are threaded to engage with thread onstem, raising or lowering disc as stem isturned. Threads are long enough to be fullyengaged whether valve is open or closed.Disc has wing guides which mate withchannels in the body.

    SeatsIntegral. Accurately tapered to insureperfect seating of the discs.

    RepackingValves are repackable underpressure when wide open. Deep stuffing boxand packing nut insure firm threadengagement when fully packed. Back seatsabove s tem threads make scale formationunlikely and provide a tight seal.

    Hexagon head gland Permits the use of alight wrench to easily loosen and raise gland.

    Non-slip handwheelInsures tight closing.

    Union bonnet, Screw end

    Union bonnet valves provide strong, safereliable service in industrial applications. Thebonnet is centered by a lip extended into theneck of the valve, securely held in place sothat it cannot be accidentally backed out ofposition.

    Bonnets Union Design Heavy bonnets ringsare octagonal to provide a firm wrench holdand increase strength.

    BodiesFull, cylindrical body minimizesdistortion. Octagonal pipe ends. Diaphragmconfiguration practically eliminates distortion

    of diaphragms by pipe ends. Disc guidechannels are beveled at top of body for easyassembly.

    StemsResistant to wear, corrosion and

    embrittlement. Long, accurately machinedthreads provide full thread contact. Heavydisc-stem connection withstands wearingaction when opening valve to prevent stemfailure under strain.

    RepackingValves are repackable underpressure when wide open. Stuffing box andpacking nut are exceptionally deep to insurefirm thread engagement when fully packed.Back seats above stem threads make scaleformation unlikely and provide a tight seat.
