True money managers (meaning large mutual fund/hedge fund managers will not typically waste their effort or take the risk to trade in the 'low volume' session, they typically only participate during live market hours. 09:11 Cynthia E: That is why CRH, that we track whether overnight inventory is net long, neutral, or net short, because knowing that the hands are weaker, extreme overnight inventory stance very often sets up an early liquidation or short cover move. 09:11 Cynthia E: So let's take a look and see where we actually are this morning. 09:14 Cynthia E: http://www.fluiditytrader.com/shared/Snagit8.png

09:14 Cynthia E: So here is our price histogram chart and it shows the overnight histogram at the far right (the 2nd histogram back from the right is YESTERDAY's histogram) 09:14 Cynthia E: So in order to judge overnight inventory status, you will notice that I always draw a line from the YC (yesterday's close) through the overnight histogram. 09:14 Cynthia E: That is the measurement. 09:15 Cynthia E: We look at whether the overnight distribution is equally split above and below the YC (neutral), whether it mostly above it (net long), all above it (100% long, mostly below it (net short), or all below it (100% short). 09:16 Cynthia E: So this morning - we do not have a significant overnight inventory stance, nor do we have a strong possible 'adjustment' - because the overnight inventory this morning is NEUTRAL (generally equally split above and below the YC). 09:17 Cynthia E: What we do want to notice this morning is that the ONH topped out just a point above the swing high at 2139.50, found resistance and returned down below the POC and toward the YL. 09:18 Cynthia E: That means so far that our key potential resistance range at the rally high / swing high (2135/39.50) is indeed showing early resistance, which means that unless bulls REALLY come in strong this morning - there are better odds for a retest of the YL and potentially 2110.50, then to retest the YH and the gap from yesterday. 09:18 Cynthia E: So let's look at how this effects the 3600 09:19 Cynthia E: *affects 09:21 Cynthia E: http://www.fluiditytrader.com/shared/Snagit9.png

09:21 Cynthia E: So here is our 3600 09:21 Cynthia E: What we know is that yesterday was a STRONG downtrend. 09:21 Cynthia E: At the close, price was working on a significant retracement phase. 09:22 Cynthia E: But, in the overnight session, when price reached the 2139.50 level (the necessary level to BREAK yesterday's downtrend with a higher high, the market was unable to sustain a move above. 09:23 Cynthia E: Therefore, now the question we are watching this morning is will price resume yesterday's downtrend with a lower low below the YL, or will we put in a HIGHER LOW and breakout above 2140 to get the REVERSAL in progress? 09:24 Cynthia E: http://www.fluiditytrader.com/shared/Snagit10.png

10:39 Cynthia E: The 14400 chart JJ and I are discussing provides a better long range picture of the current perspective! 10:39 CRH: Is today's price action an indication of only short term participants and no higher time frame involvement? 10:39 Cynthia E: From yesterday's trend ... price has NOT yet really changed direction! 10:39 Cynthia E: Yes CRH - for the most part that is correct. 10:39 JoJo: nope 10:40 Cynthia E: That is just where I was going with the pic above of the 14400 10:40 CRH: So a trend resumption or trend break on the 14400 may indicate longer term traders entering? 10:40 Cynthia E: If there was significant OTF participation here this morning - then price (bulls) would not be struggling here to achieve a trend BREAK (move above 2137.75) to start reversing yesterday's downward move 10:41 CRH: Got it 10:41 Cynthia E: Yes ... it would be longer term buyers, or stronger, longer term participation in the liquidation (with the REAL force of participation still being triggered down at 2110.50 as we discussed yesterday). 10:42 Cynthia E: So does everyone see here that ALL of this morning's action has just generally been uncertainty within yesterday's already established retracement range or bear flag range? 10:42 JoJo: yep 10:42 tsurf: yes 10:42 Miss Bea: y 10:42 Cynthia E: Bulls keep TRYING here to gain momentum, but what we are seeing is 'traders selling rallies' 10:42 JoJo: RTM day indeed 10:42 JerryH: yes 10:42 Cynthia E: Each time the market pushes up ... traders that haven't yet bailed out are trying to recapture lost ROI 10:43 CRH: Appears to be a very hard market to trade. 10:43 Cynthia E: That is why these downward moves are showing larger bar ranges. 10:43 Cynthia E: Yes indeed CRH ... we call this type of trend a 'grinding' trend - and it is VERY hard to trade. 10:44 CRH: SOH!!!! 10:44 Cynthia E: That is precisely why I said this morning that the BIGGER opportunities today would come as a result of the exit from the 2139.75 (on 3600 vs. 14400) and 2122.75 range. 10:45 Cynthia E: For those that had good trade location and came within a tick of your +3.00 - the +2 or +2.50 should have been taken ... knowing that you were trading 'in the middle' of this range and working for 'small opportunity' targets! 10:46 Cynthia E: I was actually late this morning into both trades and my trade locations were not as good (due to typing, which just happens for me sometimes) 10:47 JoJo: well in the fat part of HISTO, nothin doin 10:47 JoJo: would you call this fat part? 10:49 Cynthia E: Yes Jojo - absolutely 10:49 Cynthia E: As I said this morning - repairing the jagged right edge 10:50 Cynthia E: Heads up! 10:50 Cynthia E: Testing 2131.75 again
