PROJECT GUIDELINES

IPA – PRE-ACCESSION SUPPORT– most funds come to Serbia from the pre-accession support programmes– 2 basic components:

• TRANSITION ASSISTANCE AND INSTITUTION BUILDING

• CROSS-BORDER CO-OPERATION

– Annual programmes designed in accordance with the priorities contained in the MULTI-ANNUAL INDICATIVE PLANNING DOCUMENT (MIPD) for Serbia, in line with the recommendations of the Enlargement strategy

– Priority areas: cross border infrastructures, flood prevention, economic co-operation, environment problems, administrative cooperation, cultural exchanges and people to people actions, activities in education, research, job creation, security and criminality prevention

– Improving the national innovation system in Serbia (IPA)

– Improvement of investment environment in Serbia (IPA)

– Support to the Serbian Statistical Office to conduct a survey on income and living conditions (SILC – IPA)

– Fight against organized crime & corruption: Strengthening the Prosecutors‘ Network

– Multi-country programmes: cultural heritage, Regional Co-operation Council Secretariat, archeological heritage, Civil Society Facility, WB reginal strategy on Research & Development for Innovation, Prince, audio-visual production, Information & Communication Programme, etc.

– Focused on EU Member States‘ society

– Raising awareness about the advantages and challenges of current EU enlargement towards the countries of the Western Balkan region

– 2 components/parts:• Television programmes in the EU• Information campaigns in the EU

– The main objective is to support public discussion on EU accession process, to show the expected impacts on the Serbian society and economy, to get rid of myths and false expectations, etc.
