12BASIC STRUCTURE AND PICTURES!!!!12WORKING PRINCIPLE OF A DC MOTORCoil is powered.Magnetic field is generated around the armature.The left side of the armature is push away from the left magnet and drawn towards the right.Causing rotation when the coil turns through 900,the brushes lost contact with the commutator and the current stops flowing through the coil.The coil keeps turning because of its own momentum.

Comparing to the ideal DC motor graph, the graph we get from the experiment is almost similar. Therefore, the motor we had for the experiment works almost like the ideal motor. 202.
