The Elandra Mission Beach, located in beautiful Tropical North Queensland, is one of the very few venues that can offer absolute privacy and seclusion for your wedding event as this resort is only

available for exclusive use. The general public are not permitted at any time, leaving you and your guests to enjoy the entire property to yourselves.

The Elandra is set within 15 hectares of lush tropical rainforest, interlinked by elevated boardwalks with a fine dining restaurant, glamorous cocktail bar, chill out lounge areas and an alluring

swimming pool overlooking the family of Tropical Islands. Think of The Elandra Mission Beach as your own private beach house, with a team of wait staff, a gourmet kitchen with award wining chefs

and accommodation with breathtaking Coral Sea views from every room.

backdrop.

An undercover space with a small extended balcony

section. Completely shaded regardless of the time of day and offers an extended area

for standing guests undercover.

The Elandra Wedding Reception SpacesOur most popular Wedding Reception location is The Elandra pool deck, voted “Australian’s Sexiest Pool deck” by Australian Traveller Magazine. Tables and

chairs are set with uninterrupted views across Dunk and Bedarra Islands and the Coral Sea with the tropical rainforest a back drop.

The Elandra AccommodationThe Elandra Mission Beach offers a total of 40 accommodation rooms over three different room types for you and your guests. As each room faces out towards the Coral Sea, all rooms have a spectacular rainforest & ocean views with the majority of rooms having a balcony. Our accommodation rates

include daily complimentary tropical breakfast and for stays of more than one night, packages are created to also include dinner. Unlike other properties, The Elandra Mission Beach does not push you out at 10am in the morning. All guests are welcome to laze around the pool on the day of

departure, grab a bite to eat from our tasty poolside menu menu and head home mid afternoon.

The food and beverage at The Elandra Mission Beach is not your mainstream hotel experience. We take great pride in providing our guests with an experience to be reckoned with. Our talented team of chefs take great pleasure in creating amazing dishes. Rivalling the top chefs in Australia our

dedicated menus use the freshest local produce the tropics have to offer, with some of the most delicious foods imaginable, caught or grown within 30 kilometres of our property. Whether you desire a unique gastronomic sensation or something simple, our food and beverage team are here to exceed all of

your expectations. Hosting your wedding exclusively gives you the opportunity to tailor your food and beverage options exactly as you wish. We have a popular choice of menus to choose from or we would be more than happy to receive your requirements and work them into a menu specifically tailored

for you.

Do I have to share the venue with other wedding parties?No. We only host events exclusively, so no other guests (outside of yours) or the general public will be at the resort so all our attention is focused on your celebration and your guests.

How do I organise my wedding from a distance?Nearly everyone who gets married at The Elandra Mission Beach comes from either interstate or overseas, with only a small number of our clients seeing the property prior to the week of their wedding. Distance wedding planning is what we specialize in with a team of coordinators looking after you via phone and email. Our comprehensive experiences include all the essential services for your day and we are happy to guide you through the rest.

When is the best time to get married in the Tropics?Wet season (January through to March) which is when we have our highest rainfall and humidity. North Queensland weather is at its best from April through to December. The period from June to August is generally beautiful and sunny, most suited to anyone used to cooler climates, with crisp evenings: ideal for more formal weddings where the groomsmen are wearing jackets and suits. April/May and September to December are the months where the days are summery and the nights warm and balmy.

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?In the event of wet weather we can either delay the ceremony or alternatively we have ample undercover spaces to select from. If a serious downpour occurs, we move both the ceremony and reception to a suitably sized undercover space for you.

What are your guest capacities?The Elandra Mission Beach can accommodate up to 200 guests for a cocktail reception and up to 150 guests for a three course reception.

When do ceremonies take place?Ceremonies are held at generally held at 3pm which allows approximately 30mins for your ceremony, plus time to catch up with friends and family afterwards. Bridal party and couples photography then follows, when the light is softer and most flattering.

What will our guests do between the ceremony and reception?Making sure your family and friends have an unforgettable time is one of our key priorities at TheElandra Mission Beach. After your ceremony is complete and your family photography ticked off, wewill serve a range of antipasto platters for your guests to enjoy in your absence. Of course, our bar isalso available during this time so guests may simply prefer to enjoy a quite beverage on our pooldeck overlooking the spectacular Coral Sea.

How to my guests get charged?Unless otherwise advised, all Guest Rooms and incidental charges will be billed to the account ofeach guest, to be established in their individual names upon receipt of their booking form. Adeposit will be required at time of booking, with final charges to be settled in full by the guestupon check-out or departure. We are happy to contact you guests directly with the details oftheir package and liaise with them directly to discuss any special dietary needs, baby hireequipment and general questions once your booking is confirmed

Which airport is best to fly into?The quick answer is Cairns, We are located approximately 2 hours south of Cairns andapproximately 2 ½ hours north of Townsville. Private jet transfers from Cairns General Aviation toTully Airport & Dunk Island can also be arranged starting from only $200.00 per person for a 12seater jet which gets you and you special guests arriving a short 25 minutes from theElandra. Helicopter transfers from Cairns General aviation start at approx. $600 per person for aone way transfer

Can I pick my own colours and flowers?Absolutely. You have complete control over all of the package inclusions, including theming anddecoration elements for your wedding day.. You liaise with our specialist to select your preferredoptions

Is there a minimum booking of accommodation rooms to secure an exclusive Wedding Retreat at theElandra?

The Elandra Mission Beach offers an exclusive, sole use wedding venue and accommodation foryou and your wedding guests with a minimum booking of two nights for weekend weddings(during peak season) with a minimum booking for accommodation at the resort of 20 rooms.During low season and for midweek weddings there is a minimum booking of one nightsaccommodation with a minimum booking of 10 accommodation rooms.

Can we or our guests extend our booking?Accommodation packages are also able to be extended with no additional cost to thewedding package cost, with a minimum number of ten rooms required for each additional nightto qualify for extension and subject to availability
