Director’s Notes:Welcome to Café Noir, a little bar in the Caribbean stuck in the black and white era of the 1940s. The creation of this unique cafe began a year ago at a rehearsal for Steel Magnolias when Phyllis commented, “Wendy, you should direct a show.” And thus began the endeavor of dealing with the murder, intrigue, music, comedy and all around fun that has become “Murder at Café Noir”.

It has been a pleasure to work with the gifted individuals that make up the cast and crew of this show. Café Noir has come alive with the vast and diverse experience of the cast, who each brought fresh views and ideas to every rehearsal and to the final production. The efforts of an amazing crew refined the image of Café Noir by creating an atmosphere where everything (sets, costumes, goldfish, chairs, etc) is black, white and gray.

Tonight, sit back, relax, and see if you can figure out “whodunit”. I hope you enjoy your stay here at Café Noir.
