The value added programme on Training on corporate etiquette's and manners, soft

skills was planned with a view to:

1. Make students develop the technical skills and create professional identity.

2. Make students aware of their career path and accordingly do the career

planning.

3. Enable them to prepare short term and long term goals for their personal and

educational development.

4. Boost their self-confidence.

5. Enable students to pursue Foundation courses which strengthen their core

skills for a successful Career.

6. Give each student a realistic perspective of work and work expectations.

7. Help to develop problem solving skills.

8. Guide students in decision making.

9. Create a desire to fulfill individual goals and to educate students about

unproductive thinking, self-defeating emotional impulses, and self- defeating

behaviors.

10. To help students to know the importance of learning needs and to be to satisfy

the need on ongoing basis.

Through the training Program, Barclays has collaborated with NASSCOM in India

to roll out certificate programs to various sectors, to make sure that students have the

best from both the worlds of academia and Industry. All students who successfully

complete the training will receive certificate from Barclays.

The vision of NASSCOM is to create an inclusive and sustainable India, led by

NASSCOM Foundation, leveraging the capacities and competencies of the

ecosystem of the industry. It focuses to mainstream responsible business, promote

and develop social and environmental solutions, build capacities of individuals and

organizations to achieve these, and influence policy making & create leaders.

NASSCOM has various programs for sharing knowledge with community and

developing skills for employment.

NASSCOM Knowledge Network is a clear demonstration of a model that supports

development by helping technology to reach the community at large. It is a network

of telecentres that is exploring partnerships with the Common Service Center

Scheme run by the Government under the National e- Governance plan to provide

content, services, information and knowledge to the rural masses at their doorstep.

Skills for Employment is a program that encourages micro- entrepreneurship by

imparting skills to the underserved communities through technology consequentially

dealing with issues related to poverty, unemployment and gender inequality.

Under the purview of this program, the Foundation is helping the government in its

skilling agenda through partnerships like the National Digital Literacy Mission that

aims to bring the industry together to support the Government in making at least one

person in every family, digitally literate;

o NASSCOM Sector Skills Council run vocational training for imparting

employable skills in school students;

o Skill development in masses.

o Ministry of Labor and Employment to incentivize the industry for

promoting inclusion at workplaces and creating special employment

exchanges;

o Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and local VRCs for

promoting the employment and inclusion of underserved communities.
