Gauges
® Service Hour Meter - Indicates n the total number of hours the @ engine has operated. Use it to
determine service intervals.
@ 1. Engine Oil Pressure - When ~ the pointer in the gauge is in the
red area at high idle, the engine oil pressure is too low.
Stop operation of the machine and stop the engine.
Possible cause could be an oil pump failure, loss of oil, low oil or clogged engine oil filter element, etc.
Replace the engine oil filter element.
Refer to the "Maintenance" section of this guide for the oil filter element removal instructions.

NOTICE
Operate the engine at low idle until normal oil pressure registers.
® 2. Engine Coolant Temperature - When the pOinter in the gauge is in the red area, the coolant temperature is too high.
Stop operation of the machine.
Slow the engine to 3/4 of high idle, to reduce the excessive temperature.
If the pointer remains in the red area after a few minutes of operation, stop the engine. Have the necessary repairs made before starting again.
Possible cause could be a water pump failure , defective relief valve cap, hose or radiator, low coolant level, plugged radiator core, etc .
® 3. Alternator - When the pointer in the gauge is in the minus (-) area at 1/2 or more engine speed, the alternator is not
working properly.
The machine can be operated until repairs can be made. However, if the electrical accessories are used, the battery will discharge rapidly.
Possible cause could be a loose alternator belt or a bad electrical connection, low battery electrolyte or defective battery, gauge, etc.
