The original low-prole Dahon Neos derailleur isspecially designed for small wheels. The Neosallows for twice as much ground clearance than aconventional derailleur and the cache technologymeans that the derailleur body lies ush underneaththe chain stays. In this way the derailleur body onlyprojects 12 mm from the chain stays and is muchmore protected than a derailleur which protrudesby up to 40 mm. And the new Neos 2.0 is the nextevolutionary step with upgraded materials andreduced weight.

WARNING: If you are in any way unsure ofhow to make these adjustments yourself,

take your bike to a qualied technician forprofessional adjustment.

Due to its special design the Dahon Neos derailleurs

position differs from that of a conventional derailleur.Compared to a conventional derailleur it is aligned inthe opposite direction, i.e. the adjustment screws andthe wire adjustment bolt are facing forward.

But nevertheless, you can adjust it like any otherderailleur. Please follow the instructions below.

    Index Shifting Adjustment

Use the shifter while turning thecrank arm to move the derailleur tothe largest sprocket. Then operateshifter once to move the derailleurto the 2nd-gear sprocket. After thisoperate the shifter just as far asthe extent of play, and then turnthe crank arm.

Operate shifter to change gears, and check that no noise occurs inany of the gear positions.

If shifting to 2nd is notpossible, or shifting to2nd occurs but noiseof the chain contactingthe largest sprocket isheard.
