Provide comprehensive knowledge on all facets of Operations for
the officers to be able to perform effectively as Operations Officers
Enable Warfare Officers to be able to deal with threats from AAW,
ASuW and basic ASW environments in a Single threat scenario
Broad Syllabus - Command & Control, Anti-Air Warfare, Anti-
Surface Warfare, Basics of ASW and Screening, Maritime Law,
Mission Planning
On completion of the course, the individual will be able to advise
the Command on all aspects related to Operations
Officer will be able to undertake Group level mission planning to
allow them to take Tactical Command in a single threat scenario
Will be awarded as per international norms

Officer should have completed Mid-level Specialisation Course
Atleast 5 years of sea-going experience
Working level knowledge of English
Principal Warfare Officer (Basic)
Learnings through classroom based instructions, discussions and
situational roleplay/exercises
Practical training through planning for single threat tactical
scenario and executing the game in Tactical Trainer

threat scenarios
Broad Syllabus – Multi-threat scenarios, Anti-surface Warfare,
Amphibious Operations, Multi-threat Operations, Mission
Planning
On completion of the course, the officer will be able to advise the
Command on all aspects related to Operations
Officers will be able to undertake Fleet level mission planning to
allow them to take Tactical Command in multi-dimensional threat
scenarios

Officer should have completed Basic PWO Course

A graduate (Officers) and Diploma (Ratings) holder

Constrcution, Stability & Damage Control, Basic Ship Machinery
On completion of the course, Officers & Ratings will be conversant
with basic facets of Marine Engineering to aid operations

Practical training through simulators and equipment mock
ups/trainers in a workshop
