• Attention FFA members our next FFA meeting is Tuesday Dec. 8th at 3pm in the NDR we will discuss our upcoming progress show and s'mores night at the barn. See you there!

• This weekend your Golden Eagle Basketball Boys were busy in the gym. Last Saturday the Junior Varsity Boys won the Cy-Fair Invitational for the second year in a row as they defeated Westfield and Cy Lakes in the Championship! Their record improves to 5-0. • This past weekend the Varsity boys took 3rd place in the Woodlands tournament

defeating Elsik, Thompkins and North Forest. Their only loss was to a tough Fort Bend Elkins team. Varsity improves to 5-1 on the season.

• Come support your Golden Eagles this Tuesday when they travel to Nimitz High School. Varsity tip time is at 7pm. Go Eagles!

• Try-outs for the Girls Soccer team are today & tomorrow after school. You must have a current physical in order to try-out. In order to try out, be at the girl’s locker room today at 2:30.

• National Art Honor Society Members – Please see Mrs. Murland in room 820 to pay your dues by this Friday December 4. The dues are $25 for Juniors and $17 for Seniors and a NAHS shirt is included with your dues!!! Please make sure to also check on Blackboard for important upcoming event information

• Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, we have a new life for thee. If you are replacing your artificial tree this Christmas please donate your old tree to the Advance Fashion Class. Contact Mrs. Jones room 108.

• There will be a very important meeting for all Academic Decathlon members Thursday, December 3 in room 616 after school. Please plan to attend.

• The Golden Eagles Basketball Boy’s were in full flight last night as they battled and defeated a very tough Nimitz team 84-74.. Cedric Alley led the charge with 23 while Super Sophomore Durey Cadwell poured in 21. The Golden Eagles will play in the Katy Invitational this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The win moves the Eagles to 6-1 on the season. • The JV boys won their 6th straight beating Nimitz 67-60 while the Sophomores

dropped a close game in the final seconds 52-53. Both Freshman teams lost last night but they will be looking to rebound tomorrow as they will play in their first tournament of the season. Come out and support your Golden Eagles. Go Eagles!

• The International Student Outreach will be hosting its first meeting Thursday after school in room 2:45. All members and officers please plan to attend. Students in Ms. Javellana and Ms. Nestor’s class, Ms. Rains class or Mr. Gosselin’s class, please come and meet students who would like to help you practice English and do better in your classes. See Mr. Gosselin for more information.

• Interact will be having its annual BE A RESOURCE toy drive. All Donated toys will be delivered to Houston CPS and distributed to children in need. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off in the collection boxes placed in the house offices.

• The Klein Forest Speech & Debate Team competed in a tournament at Cy-Creek High School before the Thanksgiving break, showing true dedication. The team competed fiercely against 31 other schools from the area. Students competing in Pubic Forum Debate were: Jordan Rohilliard and Luke Vila, Melanie Montemayor and Katherine Tran and rounding up the team Kristyn Thomas and Clarence Brandley, each pair won one round of debate in competition. Thuy Nguyen competed in Dramatic Interpretation, and we also had one student, Taylor Green, compete in the Poetry Interpretation. Taylor advanced into the final round and came out with a 2nd place win against MANY schools. Congratulations, Taylor! Ms. Lott and Ms. Gilder are proud of the Klein Forest Speech and Debate team and are excited about their future! Thank you Klein Forest for your support! Go Eagles!

• Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!!!!! The Christmas season is right around the corner! Are you a person that's having trouble with buying a gift? Or maybe you just want something that's convenient! If this sounds like you, then you're in luck this year! BPA will be selling Christmas stuffed stockings beginning tomorrow during all lunches! SPEECH AND DEBATE

Our Speech & Debate Team went to a tournament at Cypress Creek November 18th and competed against 33 other schools. There were other KF students competed in Public Forum and several won their round. If you see any speech and debate students, congratulate them on a job well done! 

T. Green came home with a 2nd place overall trophy.
