DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S GOLD & SILVER AWARDS – there is a very important meeting at the beginning of RECESS TODAY in ROOM 19 for all those Gold and Silver particpants who wish to attend the expedition during the June long weekend. Student Computer Support Times Students are advised that computer support is available in the Library. Monday – Thursday: 8.00am to 8:40am & by arrangement 3.30pm to 4.00pm. Friday: 8.00am to 8.40am Monday – Friday: Recess & second half of lunch* *Very limited support for students blocked to the internet. Tutor group: 1.35pm to 1.50pm [Students must attend Tutor Group first and obtain a permission note in their Diary from their Tutor]

Daily Announcements Week 2 A Monday 6 May

The Carnival starts at 1.10pm and students meet under their House tent on Founders Field.

The age division is the age you turn this year and students must compete in their age division.

Ensure you are familiar with the course that you have to run and, in particular, the different starting points.

Do not eat a heavy lunch immediately before running. Light snacks are best.

If you suffer from asthma, use your puffer half an hour before your race.

The top eight runners in each age group (except 12 yrs – which will be top 4) will represent Oxley College at the Frensham Invitational Carnival on Friday 10 May and the ISA Cross Country Championships at SIEC on Wednesday 29 May 2019.

The 18 years Boys event was shortened to 6000m in 2010 to align with the ISA distances. Please note that

successful athletes will run 8000m at NSWCIS level.

All students who finish before 2.45pm will receive a point for their house

Students must wear either a House or PE polo shirt or an Athletics/Cross Country singlet
