As we reflect upon another year gone past, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents and families who truly enrich our Associates lives each and every day. It is a blessing to be able to care for you. This past year has brought us many new residents and families in which to serve. We are so happy to have you as part of our SpringHills family.

Thank you to those of you that took the time to complete the resident and family satisfaction surveys. Your feedback is very important to us. We are currently reviewing the information to see where we are doing well and where we need to make some improvements.

We hope you will take the time to join us for many of the festive events this month.

Adult Coloring Books provide our Residents with a creative outlet that is success oriented. �e repetitive motion involved in coloring is soothing and can help maintain and strengthen �ne motor skills. �e therapeutic bene�ts of this timeless activity, make it a valuable method of artistic expression for all ages.

Highlights of the MonthHighlights of the Month

December Health PresentationThis month our health presentation will be on December 12 at 11:00am on Depression by Amber from Gem City. On Tuesday December19, at 11:00 on Diabetes during the Holidays by Amy Stolz our DRC of SHSW.

December 7at 1:30We will have a Pearl Harbor Program by Rob from Vita’s Hospice.

December CraftsDuring the month of December we will be having our Santa’s Work Shop. They will be making Polka Dot Glitter Bulbs, Santa Paint Brushes and Peppermint oil bath salts. These are crafts that the Residents can gift to their loved ones this holiday season. Be sure to sign up for Crafts! We don’t want you to miss out on the fun. December 6 at 11:15Lunch BunchThe lunch bunch will be going to the MCL Cafeteria and then stop at the Bagel Shop for fresh bagels.

December 5, 2:00Tree DecoratingJoin us for a festive fun filled afternoon with our residents, families and friends.We will be decorating our Christmas tree for the holiday season. We will have hot coco, cookies music, holiday singing, and lots of fun!

DecemberEntertainmentTim Cochlin will be playing the piano & sax with sweet rich harmonies that our residents can sing along to. Leroy Lynn will entertain us playing the guitar, singing the old gospel hymns and holiday singing.

DecemberPet TherapyOn Wednesday mornings Cheryl, a Vitas volunteer brings her pet therapy dog Vickie to visit our residents. They are always happy to see Vickie she brings so much happiness and joy to our residents. It’s such a pleasure to see their smiles.

AIM Exercise ClassWe are excited about our new AIM program. AIM stands for Adventures in Movement. This is done through a series of rhythmical exercise movement in a consistent sequence exercise.

DecemberHoliday Celebration Join us on December 14, at 6:30 for our Annual Holiday Celebration; Entertainment will be by Ivory Dog House. We will have light appetizers and desserts. Come bring your families and join in on the holiday festivities. reminisce on old holiday memories and make some amazing new ones.

Cuddle Therapy We have added a new cuddle therapy attraction to our Spring Cottage. It is filled with cats, kittens, puppies and other cute cuddly animals for the residents to snuggle.

We are jam packed with great entertainment for this month to bring all the winter festivities to us.
