    2011 Unexpected Things ranked among to 10 pieces in juried selection forInternational Computer Music Conference (ICMC 2011) Conference; included onConference CD.

    2011 SBU/BNL Seed Grant awarded ($44,000) to The Data Sensorium: Multi-ModalExplorations of Scientific Data, as Principle Investigator. Project focused on thedevelopment, evaluation and implementation of multimodal visual and auditoryinterfaces for the analysis of large scale data sets.

    2010 Co-Chair of ICMC 2010 (International Computer Music Conference), the annualconference of the International Computer Music Association, June 1-5, in NewYork City and Stony Brook. 13 concerts, 14 paper sessions, installations, video,listening room; approximately 350 attendees; conference budget of c. $90,000.

    2006- Co-author of successful proposal to create cDACT (Consortium for Digital Arts,Culture and Technology) at Stony Brook. Continue as only original member still

    on Executive Board of cDACT. On hiring committee of cluster hires; helpeddevelop curriculum for existing DIA minor and proposed major.

    1997- Helped to establish, and continue to advise for emediaMultimedia SINC Site, amultimedia general use site and computer-ready classroom, collaboration withthe Departments of Music, Theater Arts, Art and Teaching, Learning+Technology.Duties include selecting hardware and software and advising on its installationand maintenance, running workshops and teaching courses.

    1992-2006 Helped to establish, and co-directed, the Laboratory for Technology in the Arts(LTA) at the State University of New York at Stony Brook: a multi-media cross-discipline studio and teaching space under the auspices of the Departments ofMusic, Theater Arts, and Art. The progenitor of cDACT.

    1989- Established and continue to co-administer the Computer Music Studio at SBU.Duties include raising funds, selecting and installing equipment, establishingcurriculum, teaching, supervising technological concert support, and overseeingdaily studio activities, productions, and graduate assistants.

    1994 Organized, helped rehearse and present opening concert in 20.Festival tocommemorate the Lneburg 1000-year Jubilee and the 10th Anniversary of thefounding of Ensemble Neue Musik Lneburg. Concert consisted of all electro-acoustic music, live-electronics and computer-interactive.
