Azarías, quienes quedaron a su servicio. He found none who could compare with Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, who remained
in the king’s service.
In everything requiring wisdom and intelligence, the king found them far superior to all the magicians and sorcerers in his kingdom.

its gods...

...he ordered Ashpenaz that he bring some young men from among the Israelites to serve in the royal palace. He would teach them the language and literature of the
Chaldeans.
Nebuchadnezzar ordered that the young men be given the same food and wine that he was served and that they be educated for three years, after which they would remain in his service.
Among these young men were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, all of whom were given new names...
...Daniel tried not to defile himself with the king’s food and drink...
Another of the palace officials liked Daniel,
but he said:
Tengo miedo de mi señor, el rey! Si los ve
con mal aspecto me condenará a muerte.
I fear my lord, the king. If you look sickly, he’ll put me
to death.

After ten days, they looked healthier and
