Create a new project, or open an already existing oneIdentify the sampled schools...– by importing the “School Sampling” files,

Define booklets Identify the participating schoolsPrepare the Class Listing Forms for all participating schoolsSend the Class Listing Forms to the schools


Create a New Project

Select “New...” in the “Project” Menu

“Project” Menu

– Target grade– Participation in Regional Module– Paticipation in On-line Data

Collection– Import School Sampling Files – Tested grade– Teacher Sample Size– Project location

Select “Next”

Note: The teacher sample size can only be increased.


Select Booklets and their Labels

Select ...– Number of test booklets– Booklet labels

Select “OK”

Note: In the Field Trial there will be 6 Student Achievement Booklets.

Booklets 1,2,3 will have to be double scored as Reliability Booklets.


Project Initialization Report


Navigate to the folder that contains the School Sampling FilesSelect Access databaseThe import process is performed automatically

Identify Participating Schools



There are 3 possibilities:– “Sampled School”– “First Replacement School”– “None of these schools…”

Select “Close”


Specify the reason if sampled school does not participate:

– school refused to participate – school has been closed – school does not have tested

grade – school has excluded students

only – Other reason
