The RL542A Radio Link provides up to 100 Mbit/s, reliable and secure communication in a hostile electronic warfare (EW) environment. IP and TDM interfaces are available. Unique ECCM/EPM methods ensure communication in harsh environments.

ECCM/EPM

• Frequency Hopping - Conventional and adaptive.

• Automatic Power Control - Output power is automatically adjusted to the required level, reducing detection.

• Automatic Frequency Evasion - Automatic switch-over to a good frequency.

• Pulse Jammer Protection - Advanced jammer detection algorithms, FEC, channel coding and interleaving.

OPERATION

The RL542A is mounted on top of the mast close to the antenna. No indoor unit required. The radio is connected directly to an IP router via an Ethernet cable.

By using the optical interface, the distance to the shelter can be up to 1 km.

The radio is fully configured and managed remotely through the KONGSBERG Communication Management System (CMS).

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE

Software defined radio with additional analogue filtering for superior tactical performance. Standard interfaces are implemented to ease system integration.
