In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of the section 11 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956), the Central Government, after consulting the Medical Council of India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act: (a) In the said First Schedule after "Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada" and under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [Hereinafter referred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration" [Hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery M.B.B.S. This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada in respect of students being trained at Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Hyderabad with annual intake of 150 MBBS students on or after February, 2018. (b) In the said First Schedule after "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore" and under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [Hereinafter referred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration" [Hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery M.B.B.S. (a) In the said First Schedule after "Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences,Vijayawada" and under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [Hereinafterreferred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under theheading 'Abbreviation for Registration" [Hereinafter referred to as column (3)], thefollowing shall be inserted, namely:-

M.B.B.S.

This shall be a recognized medicalqualification when granted by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences,Vijayawada in respect of studentsbeing trained at Kamineni Academyof Medical Sciences & ResearchCentre, Hyderabad with annualintake of 150 MBBS students on orafter February, 2018.

(b) In the said First Schedule after "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,Bangalore" and under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [Hereinafterreferred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under theheading 'Abbreviation for Registration" [Hereinafter referred to as column (3)], thefollowing shall be inserted, namely:-

Bachelor of Medicine andBachelor of Surgery

M.B.B.S.

This shall be a recognized medicalqualification when granted by RajivGandhi University of HealthSciences, Bangalore in respect ofstudents being trained at ESICMedical College, Gulbarga withannual intake of 100 MBBSstudents on or after January, 2018.

This shall be a recognized medicalqualification when granted by RajivGandhi University of HealthSciences, Bangalore in respect ofstudents being trained at BGSGlobal Institute of Medical Sciences,Bangalore with annual intake of 150MBBS students on or after January,2018.

(c) In the said First Schedule after "The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University,Chennai" and under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [Hereinafterreferred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under theheading 'Abbreviation for Registration" [Hereinafter referred to as column (3)], thefollowing shall be inserted, namely:-

Bachelor of Medicine andBachelor of Surgery

M.B.B.S.

This shall be a recognized medicalqualification when granted by TheTamilnadu Or. MGR MedicalUniversity, Chennai in respect ofstudents being trained at Govt.Thiruvannamalai Medical College,Thiruvannamalai with annual intakeof 100 MBBS students on or afterFebruary, 2018.

Note: 1. The recognition so granted to an undergraduate courses for award of MBBSdegree shall be for a maximum period of 5 years, upon which it shall have tobe renewed.

2. The procedure for 'Renewal' of recognition shall be same as applicable for theaward for recognition.

3. Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as required shall invariably resultin stoppage of admissions to the concerned undergraduate Course.

Med.ll81549 dated 22.03.2018 on the subject mentioned above and to convey the approval of theCentral Government to the recommendation of Medical Council of India for recognition of theMBBS degree awarded by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata when granted onor after January, 2018 for increased number of seats from 100 to 150 in respect of the students ofBurdwan Medical College, Burdwan u/s II (2) of IMC Act, 1956.

2. The recognition so grated to an Undergraduate Course for award of MBBS degree shall befor a maximum period of 5 years, upon which it shall have to be renewed. The procedure for'Renewal' of recognition shall be same as applicable for the award of recognition. Failure to seektimely renewal of recognition shall invariably result in stoppage of admissions to the concernedUndergraduate Course of MBBS at the said institute/Medical College.

3. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
